Dojoman - any news on ED - I can't get this I got a CC about 8 months before I went BR so OR doesn't think this was acceptable even though the bill was paid in full each month - as we had to get it as had nowt to live on so had to pay off the balance in full with the next months budget

I think I had a lot of frustrations in the early days, especially the first year.. everything felt so raw.
As you go on it becomes a lot easier, you realise you can live without credit, and stuff falls into place on it's own merit.
Good luck for getting your discharge everyone9/70lbs to lose0 -

It's not just bankrupts. I tried to get Virgin Media broadband (non cable) and was refused their cheapest deal because it was a contract of 12-18 months and I failed their credit checks (must have been because it was a new flat and I wasn't on the electoral role and I don't have a credit card), so nothing to do with bankruptcy at all. I had to pay a bit extra to go onto their "monthly rolling contract" instead - and I've done nothing wrong, in fact I'd just sold a house and banked the money. I had just moved to a new area, new flat, no job, not on benefits... I just wanted/expected to be able to get broadband through a phone line.0

I'll add my two penneth as well. I too don't feel punished. I feel I have made some mistakes and so do companies who offer me services. These services need to be paid for, whatever they are throughout life, and if the company chooses not to trust me, well who can blame them. I get over my frustrations and find a company who will...
not a punishment just a company being careful and companies who are careful go up in my estimation. Too long have people been careless with who they do business with and that's why many of us are in the state we are in now.0
