Butti, hate to say it but normally rates for a buy to let is different and when you negotiate mortgages in the ofset they require larger deposit etc. I know you haven't purposly bought to let it out and its short term but Best bet is to call your lender but don't be suprised if they amend your mortgage :(

I amazed Elfen - a) at your level of knowledge and b) your ability to convince yourself that a salad is better than a take away!!!

When I rented out my house I had to pay a one off fee, of £250 if memory serves, to get a 'consent to let' and that was it. No interest rate rise or any other costs or changes. Guess it will differ from lender to lender but it may not be too bad.

    Hi everyone by the way.

    hello all :waves:

Very proud of myself in that last Friday I had to drive to the offices in Bournemouth we are eventually merging with. I have been about 4 times and always cadged a lift but there wasn't anyone I could go with last Friday. I was bricking it but did it :D

Had to go to the private hospital in Bournemouth today for my pain consultation (utter waste, he couldn't believe I hadn't had an MRI before seeing him) and drove there and back :D

Google street view was my friend!! I looked up/vaguely knew the route and then 'drove' it from where I'd never been and every time I got to lots of lanes/roundabout etc I went backwards and forwards on street view to visually learn the route and the tricky lights to go through etc. You know what? I was fine both times. In fact, both times I came back a different route to try it out and I was ok! I knew I was ok for part of the journey there and back but both times the middle bit was the dodgy part. I was a bit nervous thinking about it this morning but because I had already seen the roads/lanes/junctions a few times on streetview, I felt confident approaching each new road :D

I know, stupid, but you know what my driving fear is like :o:o:o

judi, me and my brain have an agreement. I have salad, and the hormones get chocolate. Good deal for me :)
