That's why you have shops like CPW and the Link so that you can go and have a look at the phones first.:Dlittlestar1981 wrote:Yes I have. You are not an idiot, you aren't going to know what the phone is like until it's in your hand and you have tried it. That's what colling off periods are for. And I wouldn't let them charge me £9.99.... imagine if that was what you got charged EVERY TIME you returned something?
Personally I can understand if they make a nominal charge if you have changed your mind but what I find unbelievable is if you have to pay the charge if the phone is faulty as some do.0 -
i had the same problem the other week, beware i only had a 7 day test period with my phone but got it exchanged in the end. the tariff u agreed to may also change as it depens on the price of phone u want.0

I just got off the phone and they will take it back as it's within the 7 days cooling off period, I have to post it off to them now with a cheque for 9.99 (for cancellation), I'm not gonna fight the fee cos atthe end of the day it is my own fault for wanting to cancel, I knew the consequences when I placed the order. Just ordered a small phone from another site. V happy about that as I held one in a phone shop in town yesterday. It's just the size that matters to me really, I don't like big ones. And boys, don't make any jokes!
Thank god they taking it back with no hassle!

The 9.99 is probably to cover postage etc. You probably could argue it if you have the time and inclination.0

OMG it just cost me £6.20 to post it back to them!!! Grrrr!
The guy in the post office was awful to me as well - i posted something to japan and he was nasty becasue I didn't put a customs label on it (I didn't know to), I've just noticed he didn't add the consequential insurance I asked for either (for the phone), I hope to god it doesn't get lost overnight.
