Weigh item
Put weight in here - http://www.seajays.org.uk/postage/
Most things would go as packet post (the print may go large letter depending on size)
If value over £40, send special delivery (or if under, send recorded) - for uk folk0 -
I recently emailed many sports clubs and newspapers etc in the hope of them sending anything of value , merch etc that could be auctioned off to fund information leaflets for a cause I have set up named Skate4Cancer-UK
Not sure if im allowed to post FB links in here so im sorry in advance but here goes
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=238722603499&ref=ts
The aim of the group is simply to provide youth with an online community for cancer awareness. Too many youth smoke to " fit in " with others these days as they think its the " cool " thing to do. So we are here to try and show them that not smoking is just as cool and I feel this online community does that. Even if it helps just 1 person not smoke I feel the snowball effect of this could be huge.
Anyway , some clubs such as Everton have emailed back saying sorry but they cant donate anything due to club protocol .
But within an hour of me sending Sunderland FC an E-Mail they had replied telling me they had checked the group and they think its a really worthwhile cause and they are going to send out a print of The Stadium of Light signed by Niall Quinn.
Massive Credit to Sunderland for this , just wanted to come here and give them the praise they deserve
That should fetch at least 2 quid :rotfl: Homoball is not flavour of the month at the moment after our team of carthorses visited South Africa for a month of laying by the pool and 360 minutes of proving how ineffectual they are0 -

Absolutely agree 100%. He puts most other footballers/ex-footballers to shame.
Good luck with the auction.0 -
Does anyone have ideas for other companys / people etc i can mail and ask for anything they may be willing to part with to raise the funds ?
also im researching prices of getting leaflets printed , does anyone know any sites they may know ?0 -
Once again massive praise for sir Niall Quinn, his money built the childrens centre at sunderland hospital.
I've met him quite a few times and can confirm he is a total gentleman who will go out of his way to help anyone, my son asked for a quick autograph outside of the Academy of light(SAFC's training ground) and he spent a good 30 mins answering my sons questions.
Safc also have there own charity called SAFC foundation who do coaching in schools/ help local youth groups etc, they were at my youngest sons sports day teaching them football skills and having penalty shoot outs with Samson the cat etc.
Also the kids season tickets were only £19 last season and are still only £49 this year.If at first you don't succeed, maybe bomb disposal isn't the best career choice.0 -
Also some other thing you could do, maybe contact some British extreme sports stars who might be willing to donate signed helmets etc, and youth oriated bands ( indie, pop-punk, dance, hip hop) to see if you can get a few signed cds/ merchandise. If at first you don't succeed, maybe bomb disposal isn't the best career choice.0

Niall Quinn is one of the nicest people i've ever met. One of my friends worked at Manchester City at the time my dad died and we were doing some fund raising for Christies Hospital in Manchester in memory of dad and Niall gave us a couple of shirts that he'd played in and loads of signed bits and bobs and arranged for me and a couple of family members to go along to a game and meet some of the players after. If At First You Don't Succeed, Call It Version 1.00 -
