What feedback should I leave for this?

Hi,

Purchased 20 o2 sims off ebay about 10 days ago, received them yesterday. Opened up the jiffy bag, and immediately started taking them out of their little pouches etc.
All was fine until i got to the despatch note, which read:

"sorry, could only find 17 sim cards, have included a pound coin as a refund. Hope this is ok."

Was a bit miffed, but ok, the guy made an effort.

Then I counted the sims-there were 17 wallets, but one was empty!

So I paid for 20, got 16!!!!

Can't really return now, as most are opened.

How should I proceed in terms of feedback? (have already received +ve from seller)

Has to be a negative, you've no other option given he/she has shafted you for 20% of what you paid for.

Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.

    How grumpy do you feel??

    a. If very neg the !!!!!!

    b. Not very...leave a neutral

    c. Happy its the weekend...leave none

    d. Going to get lucky tonight...leave postive

    Dead easy!!
  • What was the unit cost i.e does £1 cover the 20% shortfall?

    Good way of thinking there!

Unit cost 55p ea, so, no, he would owe me £2.20 instead of a £1!

Just wouldn't like someone to leave me -ve feedback, call it karma if you will...

But i'm less of an experienced ebayer than some of you guys, so was just looking for a general concensus.

leave the neg but keep it factual, i.e "auction was for 20 sims, only received 16"

at the very least, it will warn future bidders that they may not get what they paid for

Contact the seller - ask him for another £1.20 refund to cover the 20% missing - then if that doesn't work consider a neg or neutral - give the seller a chance first.

I agree, you have to at least give him a chance, if the seller doesnt reply to you or wont refund you anything you can feel quite justified in leaving a neg. HTH

  • I agree with the last post that you should contact the seller first to try and resolve before going down the immediate negative feedback route, he did say he enclosed a pound if that was ok, well you obviously feel that that is not ok so should contact him first to tell him. He is not psychic! If he refuses then by all mean use negative feedback.

On the other hand why in future do you not get free sims from O2 as they often do these as an offer, which would be good moneysaving!

Thanks, I do get freesims from o2, but (for reasons best left unexplained), I needed 20 in a hurry, and obviously o2 only send them out in 4s at a time.
