does anyone know if you can get discounts on buying things for the home if you are on disability benefits from shops or online such as fridge freezers furniture etc ?
or anyone got discounts by asking ?

No harm in asking- see if you can find something wrong with it, a scratch or mark. I've had money off just by asking, nothing to do with a disability. Even places like B&Q, if you can find a tin of dented paint or something
    Good luck

I'm actually disabled myself and hate the stereo typical crap that all disabled people are scroungers and on benefits and and to be honest your posts helps to feed the tory propaganda you mention by reinforcing this.

    My posts ?

I think your not reading right mate im actually wanting to pay for something thus helping the economy just like anyone else.... im not begging for someone to give me something free alot of people ask for a good deal when walking in to a shop or negotiating regardless of disability.

If you dont ask you dont get in life

I notice from your posts you pass comment or judgement but dont say much about youself its all too easy to do that when you dont know an individuals complete situation to look down on other claimants

    Bleeding heart liberalism

Just a question about leasing a car through the mobility service.

I was told that if you do do this you loose your care allowance, could anyone tell me if this is the case please?

    Thanks.

  • No, you don't lose your care allowance, just your mobility allowance.

Hollywood Bowl do concession rate for disabled person and the accompanying carer - a game of bowling for £2.75 pp in the day (I think its marginally more at night), just take proof of DLA/PIP along with you.
  • Does anyone know if you gat car tax discount on a second vehicle. I currently obtain 50% discount on a car via being allocated PiP mobility.
