I definetely think stronger. I predict around 1.3 by OCT0

Perhaps slightly higher as that has been the trend this year, but it's all guesswork. Given the continuing economic problems in S Europe looks like economists like Doug Williams who predicted parity will have egg on their faces.0

Stronger. Agree with budgetflyer that £ 1 = € 1.30 seems a realistic prospect for the autumn.0

It's certainly getting a bit better every day over 1.23 this morning

I thought that, if the emergency budget was well received by the markets, that might help strengthen the position. From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!0

I would certainly follow a similar theme to everyone that has posted above.
The budget was very austere, but will serve to safeguard the UK's 'AAA' rating, which is crucial, and also the Bank of England have indicated that raising interest rates later this year is not out of the question.
1.30 is a very realistic target.Work within the currency industry - all comments are my own opinions. ''I don't claim to have a crystal ball, or be able to see into the future, just base my views on market data and economic news.'' Quite happy to answer any questions about rates and market movements; if I can help, I will.0 -
1.26 is more realistic IMO it's 1.2229 as i typeBe good to the young on their way up you might need them on your way down.0

Of course it will go up and down from day to day but I'm sure there will be a gradual trend towards strengthening over the next month or two.0
