Trying to find receipts from the weekend with the spends on them and can't find them anywhere.

Wasn't too much so should be ok for this months budget

2 NSD for this week which also helps - next spend day is Friday to get some food in for a birthday meal this weekend - not too much needed as using up storecupboard ingredients mainly in the dessert

Off to search for receipts and update total
final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333

My thriftiness with the groceries has made me pay much more attention to my attitude towards money in general.

And because of that... this month I've managed to pay £400 off my Barclaycard rather than the usual £50. I will get it clear by Christmas :D

Hooray for Mr S basics and paying down debt! :money:

That's brilliant, makes the struggle seem worthwhile!

My month ended on Tuesday and after adding a smallish spend on the last day of £9.49 I have manged to keep on the right side of the budget. :j:j

    Can I declare - JULY G/C £246.90
which is £18.10 under the set amount. :T phew.....did'nt think would do it this month but am so pleased I have done. :D
found it harder going this month but then we have had a visitor for almost a week and have had to buy a few birthday cards and small pressies extra.

Am going to reduce the amount again for August but only by £5 as again we have 3 birthdays this month all will be requiring pressies along with the cards.

So can I please be put down for -AUGUST G/C £260 (this is a whole £140 less than what originally was spending earlier this year) This is for 21/7 - 17/8 (28days)

Off to alter signature and then to do a shopping list for Friday - oh yes and today on first day of August challenge I have spent the grand total of........NOTHING :j

Hope all of you who are still on Julys challenge have a great last few days or so and come in under target.

    MARCH £62.38/250

Right, today was a big shop day and I've another £46.28, taking my total for the month to £149.94 so far. It's going to be touch and go to see if I can make my target, but I'm determined! We did buy things to stock up a little so I'm not fussed. I'll update my sig now. Have a nice evening everyone.

Another £21.85 spent yesterday, still got £67.60 left so I'm doing really well so far this month, but the month isn't over yet, lol!

Sue14, I don't know how much time you want to spend in London or what you're into but the museums and galleries are generally free, they may charge something to get into a particular exhibition that is on but I find you don't really NEED to do those unless you are especially interested. However I wouldn't advise it if you aren't spending lots of time in London and want to do a lot of things, when me and OH went to the Natural History Museum not long ago we did NOT think we would be there from about 15 minutes after it opened, right until they were announcing it was closing in 10 minutes!

Thanks for the advice. I know what you mean, I used to take my son to the museums when he was little, and we had a lot of great days together, he particularly liked the Natural History Museum as he loved dinosaurs, and we could quite easily spend the whole day there! One time we went there on a really hot day, and when we left we went to Trafalgar Square and paddled in the fountains to cool our feet, (as a lot of other people were doing so) but he ended up swimming in the water with some older kids, and we had to wait for him to dry out before we could go home, lucky it was so hot, lol!

We had been planning to go to the Tower of London or the Aquarium today, but I wasn't feeling too well so we've put it off till Friday. They are quite expensive, but we do have some 2 for 1 entry vouchers for them and will be taking some lunch with us, so it makes it a bit easier.

Hi there this is my first official challenge I have been lurking on the forum since Jan as frugal as possible. DD has now finished school and is starting college in Sept so only the 2 of us.

What sort of figure should I be looking at any ideas,I realise that everyone has different circumstances. I am very pleased with my self though.Have spent £160 since the beginning of July and have NSD day ever since.I am using up food in the freezer that no one wants!
However i do live in a village and I am without a car so it more difficult to get to the shops and to carry things home.
SPC £500 well will try very hard.

    GC £6.16/£150
