good morning everyone
well off today to discount retail park, two hours drive from me. Starting Christmas shopping when I am there.
Hope you all have good day.It takes a long time to eat an elephant and I'm doing it a bite at a time!!!0 -
DH had a delicious dinner ready when I got in last night. Roasted chick breast with tarragon . Roasted patty pan squash and baby turnip and baby courgette. Barely cooked peas so they were still sooooo sweeeet. And new potatoes. All but the chick and tarragon homegrown (the tarragon in the garden is pathetic!).
I had 2 more scones for brekkie today, and put 4 of the remaining 5 into the freezer. They should be nice at the weekend!!
I have to try to find a load of jars today though, for jamming at the weekend. I have 2 jars left from my decent enough stash! And still have a load of blackcurrants, gooseberries, redcurrants and raspberries to use up.....GC 2010 €6,000/ €5,897

Since my 'big' shop last Thursday, I've had 6 NSDs
Had to spend today though - mainly 'cos of milk situation. Spend of £6.40 added to my signature for 12 pints milk, tub of ice-cream, loaf of bread, twin pack of garlic baguettes and a bag of frozen sliced mushrooms.Cheryl0 -
Hey all four NSD's in a row! Woohoo! Get me LOL. Should be on track this month. Only have until Tuesday so things aren't too bad! I may however need some bread before the end of the week and some chips. I got some in Aldi and they were lovely perfect for the actifry so will maybe go out and get some....
I actually still have loads of meat in the freezer from this month so should only need a couple of chickens next month to keep me going.
Have a good day all!Feb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790 -

I plan to buy a rose on Saturday.
Where would that count?
It is called Jude the Obscure and is available from a nursery in East Grinstead.
I tracked it down after smelling it at Highgrove House this Monday last. It is the most GORGEOUS scent ever. A large yellow rose with pinky-orange tinges.
So.... essentialsor what ?
(it is 14.99)

Congratulations on the new job, guccigoo.
And Mrs Macawber, you are doing fantastically on SW! Your meals sound really yummy too.
Did my weekly shop yesterday. Bought loads of salad and not a lot else - I have broad beans and courgettes in the garden which will be ready this week plus my friend gives me allotment surplus too. Was really miffed because the avocados I buy every week were sold out due to them being on offer!
I was really surprised to find that Nairn's rough oatcakes were much cheaper than Mr T's own brand.
Spent £10.11.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅0 -
small spend in mr s today of £2.94 and then popped into wilko's and bought 2 green force fabric conditioner and green force washing liquid as they were on offer, thought i would try them as a few people mentioned then on here.
