Still managing to spend very little which has posed the questions; what else needs doing instead or what is better than grocery shopping?

ANYTHING is better than grocery shopping :)

I find playing computer games stops me eating AND spending :)

Made this James Martin Pork Terrine recipe last night and had for tea tonight with salad and HM chutney, absolutely gorgeous and very easy to make.

Changed recipe somewhat as we didn't fancy asparagus or leeks, so roasted a red pepper under the grill and used that in the middle of the terrine instead.

Also rather than streaky bacon, I used a smoked Parma type ham from Lidl and the sausages were also from there and 30% off. Just added some fresh thyme and mint to the mix and a touch of black pepper.

Will certainly make this again, perfect for summer salads and picnics.

Woo-hoo! A NSD today, I resisted temptation to go shopping for 'something easy' for tea and instead OH made 'something easy' for tea out of the fridge/cupboards! Have got meringues in the oven, and looking forward to having them with icecream :D DO need milk tomorrow, so i hope i resist MOST other things.. :)
