Glad you and the boys had a nice Christmas Mike... I'm still waiting for the postman to deliver my card! x
Might as well take a seat then, could be a while.0 -

No, Santa wasn't very good to them. Continuing financial downturn ya know...
Yes, we have had a wonderful day. Really, really excellent.
And the few presents we have given each other meant as much as any we've ever exchanged.*

* Specially my new satnav from Jack!
My sister has been on a limited budget for a few years now and has become much more creative with her present buying. In the good old days she spent silly money buying lovely presents that always managed to make me feel as though I had been a bit of a cheapskate.
I actually get far more pleasure opening my gifts from her now knowing how much thought has gone in to it.
Strange isn't it, how it *really* is the thought that counts and not copious amounts of money
And thanks Jack, now we can't tell him to get lost :rotfl::j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Thanks SB, just made me cry again  Tesco car park will always remind me of you
Just to be clear on that statement.... No police were involved, no-one was arrested, no animals or children were harmed, it was a private moment between consenting adults!
I'm another one that had lurked for ages and only registered to be able to post on Mike's thread and I have also made some great mates.
And what timing, wasn't it you that saw Nick Knowles on loose women talking about the big build on an afternoon off? See what you started?
But she does also have some awful tales to tell that would make your hair curl and does have some disgusting habits :rotfl:
I could argue that point but I need my hand to scratch my bum!Ain't you glad I rarely go out in public?

Just been re-reading a few pages from the old thread, around the time of the Big Reveal. Might need some hankies tomorrow night... Hard to describe the feelings that radiate from the computer screen when total strangers support each other :smileyhea

Gosh, just read a few pages from that time...
Feel I relived it!
Even more apprehensive than I was about tomorrow now! And we've been watching out for trailers for the programme, but none so far.
I may not sleep too well tonight.

Fingers and toes crossed for Psycho & Happy that work doesn't keep them away from the TV & 'puter
Miggy..Hope Mum is recovering well and will still hope access to a 'puter will materialise....glad you've got good friends and neighbours to help with washing.
Billie....lots more coming to the party, most of which will be bringing Christmas leftovers so food & drink not a problem
Poo..good to hear from you, don't worry about catching up, not missed anything important, we just missed you!
Nic...You'll be here won't you?
Messages sent, lots of happy people also hoping to join in that had thought they'd missed it!
Can't send a message to csarina? Have you any contact details for her Mike, to let her know?
Hoping savingmummy hasn't gone away & gets the message, she's been desperate to watch.
Thanks, Maty & Psycho and anyone else that has spread the word. Be good to see those viewing figures up for the DIY SOS crew!
X
PS..Butti, sorry to have missed you too...next time? Told OH you were sad to have missed me, he said you must be! Yours if you want 'im!PROUD MEMBER OF
