OMG things sound very hard for you at the moment. You have our support and good wishes. You're not attracting bad stuff, it's just happening as it always does, but you're taking it as an attack on you. It's probably not. Move from the PC to your new TV and enjoy it. You've earned it. Jubilee and Olympics (shudder) should make it worth having. Hoping your ability to wear tights returns. (Maybe I misread that bit)!

New bike? Motorised? What happened to the last one? How do you manage a bike with a blown knee? I dropped a scooter during my CBT. Haven't lived that down yet.

What's a squidgy bit? Where did you lose it? Can you get spares? Am I being incredible naive?

Forums (except this one) are not good places if you're feeling anything less than 100 percent strong and good about yourself. Maybe keep out of the flak for the time being?

For what it's worth, we hang on to your every word and love hearing from you!

Nope you did not misread the stuff about tights...want a pair sending? I just fancied (more like desperately needed) a new bike pre knee. Nope funny you ask you can't ride a push bike with a blown knee. Don't know why ;)..not even a spacegenie (google it)...however if you fancy a trip to the wild wild north (beware of salmon) then you're welcome to put me on your shoulders ;)

The squidgy bit goes in the splint behind your knee. if You've ever seen hospital knee stuff you realise half of them are leg length (lovely - fetching...) so this is okay. The squidgy bit stops your leg from locking (guess that would be worse)..the splint is basically metal (of some kind I think or fibre carbon?) with fabric and like attached with loads of velcro

    3-Panel_Knee_Splint.gif

This gives you an idea of roughly what it looks like (only only 3 velcro straps and one across knee cap) and it's bright blue....Lovely

I think we have established the strategy; so how do I measure where to turn up? When I bend down, it changes

    :undecided

It's simple....put them on a hanger...put over door. Pin up then go from there. Just like that ra ra skirt you're fixing for your next work's night out and the fish nets :rotfl:

Measure a pair that are the right length, measure the new pair to the same. Turn up and pin, try on and adjust if necessary, and re try until you are happy before taking up.

Remember measure lots! Once you have taken them up it is too late!

I'll have a go with the Wonderweb this weekend. It holds no fear for me.

I suppose I could ask one of the lads to help mark me up, but then I'd have another pair of shorts. And it's not something chaps do for each other. More a job for the memsahib. *

    Follow the instructions for wonderweb.
Make sure you get everything flat before you apply the iron.
After it is always a good idea to put in a few hemming stitches just to keep things from moving. But if you want to just wondaweb it I'm sure someoe would come and put a few stitches in for you.

You're not sleeping because you're worrying about crochet patterns?
