Really? Hmm... I thought I had a pleasant and encouraging way with words...!0 -
Hey - history fans... just had a letter from a guy who watched the prog on Thursday. His grandparents owned the house, and he holidayed here every summer for years. They put in the garage in the living room - must find out what madness lay behind that. They also owned one of the big houses behind and there was a gateway between the two. I am so going to invite him down for tea...0

That sounds really interesting Mike. Wonder if the gate was where that fence is at the back of the garden because it looked to me on the show like it should have been a wall.
I bet he would love to come for tea and have a look around too. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -

I would guess if they owned the big house behind, then they didn't care about losing half the space in the cottage! It was probably just an annexe type thing to them.
