It would be an interesting experiment if everyone put a tenner in an envelope and addressed it to me just putting that address. I'll let you know how many arrive.

Once you've harvested all those tenners, I'm not sure you'll find that they have email facilities on Ipanema Beach, hehe!

I've just watched my first-ever episode of DIY SOS on the iPlayer! As Blackadder once said "I believe the phrase rhymes with 'clucking bell'..."!!

Simply amazing - Mike, when you saw your "new" house I bet you were wondering when you were going to wake up and realise it was all a fantastic dream, weren't you?! They really did an absolutely cracking job. And I'm SO glad that they helped you - you do seem like such a nice guy and you'd taken far more beatings with the sh*t-stick than many people get in a lifetime. And how great are your boys?! Both really lovely personalities and a true credit to you.

It was so humbling to see everyone who pitched in from the community (and especially the MSE'ers) - sometimes it's so easy to forget how many good people there are out there.

I believe the designers left out one minor finishing touch, however, The head of Bridle (hmmm... can see a B-movie horror taking shape there - "Father of the Bridle" perhaps, or "The Bridle March" - at a pinch, there's always "The Bridle and Gloom". Sorry. Sometimes I can't help myself...;)) - anyway; the head of Bridle mounted on a wooden shield and hung on the wall, like stag heads and antlers in Baronial Halls. evilgrin0045.gif

Many congrats again on your much-deserved revamped pad and best of luck in getting your money back from the sweatstain builder who dropped you in it to begin with. (Let me know if you want to hire the dog anytime. For the special price of £2, I'll load him up with sprouts, broccoli and boiled eggs and get him DHL'ed 'round to the ne'er-do-well's house. Jasper will be more than happy to leave him with a few 'deposits' that he won't want to put in his wife's bank account!innocent0009.gif)

    love and best wishes,

  • I, like many others, have come to this via the weekly email. I just want to say how moved I have been both reading the threads and watching the programme. It is wonderful to see how people have been so generous.

Mike - I hope this means that your tide of fortune has changed. Whilst dark clouds can get in the way at times, somewhere behind them the sun is always there and will come back out again. I hope the clouds have almost cleared for you. One of my favourite quotations is:

Enjoy the light for it shows you the way. Endure the dark for it shows you the stars.

Mike's Mob - you appear to be the stars!

To you and your boys I wish you lots of love and happiness. Good things come to those who wait. All wheels are made round as they say. I am sure that vile dishonest person will get what he deserves - either in this life, or the next. You, meanwhile, deserve to enjoy your view, cherish your revamped home and start doing the only rebuilding that is now necessary - your life, confidence and health!

Another 'new-to-the-thread-bie' here! Not sure what made me look at the link in the newsletter but look I did and am so pleased at the result you got! Years ago my mother was ripped off by a builder, but certainly not to the extent you were! Does he still work in the Littlehampton area? I am another Littlehampton local *waves* but only moved here a few months ago so am still settling in. Good luck on the work front!

    Greetings, neighbour.

I believe he was out quoting for jobs as recently as four weeks ago. Someone said he had offered to do some work for them. He lives near Horsham, in Broadbridge Heath. Best avoided really...

I would share my cheesy sprouts with Jasper. I'd like to shake his paw.

Mike, let me assure you the singular shape of your head is not in the least evident on TV - but anyone who can hit 'wob' with their forehead - and miss the space bar - ought to have a show of their own.

miggy bless you for this! :rotfl:Still playing catch up and when I saw Mike's post with jumbled up letters, I thought that put paid to me getting any sleep tonight... the ocd in me would have kept me up all night trying to make as many words as possible!!!! :o Noticing your post turned my attention to the keyboard instead. ;)

Will catch up with you all again one day soon I hope but switching the 'puter off for now....fighting temptation to go back to jumbled letters!!! :o

Hope everyone is well? Love to all
