They may even start saying that the economy is a mess and houses are too expensive.

    Perish the thought.

You sir, get a standing ovation.

Nothing to do with house prices being to high and people needing huge amounts of money just for the deposit. It's because sellers arn't cooking bread anymore. Instead they are all going to Asda early in the mornings and standing outside the bakery. Try there, you might find some buyers with 50 odd grand 25% deposits for your ex council houses.

You shouldn't miss the boat though OP! Think carefully, and don't undersell. Fact is I think give it a few weeks and you will see the offers come flooding in.

The nights are already drawing in and people will want to buy and the lack of property for sale will make them make that decision:cool:

What is it like on planet Bouche?

Missing the Titanic would have been a very good thing.

Ive just had enough of the whole thing to be honest, I have told the estate agent it is staying on the market until the end of the summer and thats end and if doesnt sell by then I will give up

Its hard to switch of from these whole selling business

Things are good here, happy to have a buyer in the current climate. I understand OP's comments - there's always a reason the ES will give you why you've not sold. Fact is it's been very hard for those very reasons to sell over the last few years, as it has been for buyers with their reasons. I empathise with both sides.

Me, I've sold and ex LA property left me by my Mum. With the discount she got back in the 80's the property has amassed enormously in profit. Saying that I'd rather stay were I am than confront the new, numorous options open to me - strange that eh!!:o

I bet some people on here are really happy that you are in the pink through selling an ex-council house.

Others have had to work hard to keep their heads above water.

I think, by the very tone of your comment, you're not very happy at all about me being in "the pink". But it's OK, I can understandy why;)

No - I could not care less about your situation.

Some people are luckier than others and, to be honest, I am probably luckier than you.

Trying to sell for nearly past year, rang during the week and dropped price again, asked why no viewers?

"Well its coming into the summer months and lots of people going on holiday"!

    before that it was

    "The budget coming up"

LOL this made me laugh cos I think I've heard all the excuses as well! For what its worth I'm also selling in NI & things seem to be v quiet at the moment. There was a bit of a flurry a few months ago & then it all dampened down. I think sadly maybe we have both missed the very small window of opportunity.
I think i'll give it to the end of the summer
