Premium Credit Ltd - who is this?

Hi,

I have had a debit go out labelled as 'insurance premium first payment'. When I looked into it it goes to a company called Premium Credit Ltd. Their contact number says they are not open until monday, so in the mean time does anyone know who this is?

We are currently buying a house and have had lots of various insurance quotes but I don't recall setting up a direct debit with any of them.

Thanks
Carrie

Have/had you any cards or loans with MBNA with some from of protection?

ISTM that;s the most likely connection
  • Premium Credit also handles direct debit payments for NHI Services Ltd. insurance, which trades under the newhome and homeprotect brands.

NHI insurance also operates the webmoney.co.uk website.
  • Can't think why they should be debiting me. Thanks I will ring them on monday.

    Thanks

Thanks Gabriel. I've got my home insurance with Homeprotect and I could never work out what Premium Credit Ltd was on my statements.
  • I have just noticed two direct debits on my account under the same name and can't work out what they're for just by looking on my online banking. Grr..any ideas before I call the bank?

I don't have insurance with any of the people you mentioned.

premium credit are used for a number of household and general insurance providers. Not just the ones above.

I work for one of the biggest three brokers in the world and we use them. Not a problem - good company as far as I'm concerned...

Aren't these the same people that co-own (with HSBC) the monthly school fees outfit 'Holmwoods Termtime Collections'?
