Oy you lot stop complaining about the heat - I have to ruin a NSD by going and buying wood for the fire today as we used it all over the weekend :rotfl: Still it works our at R13 (just over £1) a day and not only does it work brilliantly it is lovely to look at when the TV is rubbish (as it is most days
)
Morning All  anyway. Glad you're having such a good summer this year. It's only cold a few weeks each year here, and the cheeriness of all the footie fans after Ghana got through on Saturday makes up for the cold weather. Though it also meant that vuvuzelas were blaring in the streets for some time :rotfl: Sorry for the England fans thoughespecially as this country needs spenders like them to stay a little longer.
Today I have/will:
.Menu plan as much as possible from the store cupboard - money is going to be tight for the next couple of months
.done a couple of loads of laundry and line dried.
.10 mins on our new cross trainer (it's killing me because I'm so unfit!)
.Made a great pan of soup from the tired veggies
.carry on knitting the Christmas pressies. There are some fab bag patterns on knitty.com
.think about having a NSD and managing without getting the wood....
Have a great day everybody :A0 -
Morning all!
A free lesson first thing for me so a chance to post early-ish.
Today's list will be....- Take packed lunch to work
- Drive sensibly to conserve petrol
- Walk dog for free exercise
- Wash towels after work and dry on the line
- Recheck July budget to see if there's anything I have forgotten
- Continue looking at clothes for hols to see if any need washing etc
- All food from stores
- Have a NSD (desperately need these!)
- Find dog's vacc certificates to send to mum for short kennel stay when I'm on hols - mum is having the dog but goes away 1 day before we get back - in return I'll pick up both her's and my dog and keep her's for a week whilst she's on hols! Phew!
- See if there's any decent telly on tonight - not football!
- Check about health insurance and hol insurance for Turkey - anyone know? I guess the E111 card thing doesn't apply?
- Phone mum later with free mins/free landline
You still need travel insurance regardless of the EHIC card(new version of E111) We got out travel insurance from multitrip.com, was so cheap for a whole year.No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T0 -
