TK Maxx pricing holds no rhyme or reason, and there is no limit as to what they will sell....

In your opinion. I find it rather good for designer handbags, jeans, underwear and household decorative items.

My one (well 2) experience with TK maxx didnt go too well.

I bought a hoodie for my daughters partner, it was too small, I took it into the house, he tried it on, too small, put it back in the bag, back into the car and took it back next day.

They were hesitant at refunding it because it smelled of smoke, now given that it was in my house for 5 minutes, i dont smoke in the house and I dont smoke in the car,
i couldnt see how it could be smelling of smoke, as a smoker i maybe couldnt smell it when i bought it but as 2 assistants confirmed this I just had to believe them.
They eventually, after getting a manager down they eventually agreed to supply a bigger size.
Know what they did, while i was standing there, yes, they relabelled the first hoodie, still as they said, smelling of smoke, and put it back on the racks.

I will not ever, ever shop there again. and they charge a fortune for carrier bags.

You probably do carry the smell of smoke on yourself , and handling the jumper would have transferred the smell . I have just got out of someones car that didnt smell of smoke ( just a air freshener ) , was only in it 5 mins , and could smell smoke and realised it was on my clothes

As a smoker i could smell smoke 5 miles away. As an ex-smoker i can smell it 20 miles away (well slight exaggeration but you get the drift ;))

As a smoker you couldnt really smell it off yourself (part from maybe your hair lol) but honestly, the difference now that i dont smoke is HUGE. It clings and it lingers and even the faintest trace will be evident to a non-smoker.

I have a friend who works in TK maxx, and she's told me that stock comes into the store and goes on sale at full price for a number of weeks (can't remember exactly how many but i think about 6), then it gets reduced, then 3 (i think) weeks later, if its still there gets reduced again.
So if the same item comes in 7 weeks after the original item there will be a difference in price.

Not saying I would do this but...
... would you consider removing the price label from the more expensive item you want and then bring the cheaper one to the till and say it doesn't have a label but assume it is the same price as this one...

    Pun intended? :rotfl: :T :rotfl:

I get most of my shoes from TK Maxx as they often show RRP something like £65, "our price" £24.99. However if there is a slight mark on them you can find real bargains for £7/£11/£15.
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

What i dont understand is making honest hardworking people feel like criminals by giving them 0 privacy in your store and invading your personal space all because they stopped to look at several shades of eyeliner/eyeshadows.

The problem is 'honest hardworking people' and 'criminals' are not that easy to tell apart.
