Well, I've been up an hour... I have my hayfever playing up and a blinding headache.. so I am off to hang out some washing and get another couple of loads in before the gremlins all wake up.
Prom night tonight.. so another busy day ahead.. did I mention it is her birthday (16th) on Monday too and she has 3 days induction at college next week too..
MUST ring podiatry today.. it was so odd last night at DS3's induction.. the podiatrist was there.. apparently her younger son is in DS3's year and her older one sat next to DD1 in Science!!
I have an appointment to cancel too.. do I NEED an appointment telling me what a health visitor does (in theory! in reality they are useless) Tiddles was seen twice and haasn't exploded.. I think we'll survive!!
I may forage as well.. I forgot to have dinner again last night due to busying about.. so of course I am now hungry...LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Good morning everyone
FFP - hope you have good news today :A
Pigpen - did you get the rain last night? It's far less muggy here today :T
Going to list a few things on Ebay today, and try to finish off the general decluttering of the last few things lying around *roll eyes smilie*.
Have a lovely day, everyone :j:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Got DD2 to her high school induction evening thingy...wasn't sure about the school before - it is huge - but they are now a collegiate and say that each college are isolated in their own self contained building of 400 kids from 11 - 16, with a class size of 16 - 18, and their own head and deputy. I think my school detention room had more kids in it at any one time than that.
Her form tutor is a very pretty blonde who wears fifties style suits, glasses and shoes with 4 inch heels (the Dads in the room were very smiley) and she told the kids that because she is teaching them all day for the first three weeks for assessment - and the only time they are with someone else is when the prefects collect them from class and lead them to a safe collection zone at the end of the day - 'I'm really your school Mummy'.
DD2 has a full day there tomorrow. It seems promising.
****
Oooh - whilst I'm on the subject.
KS2 SATS results are in. She has 5Cs in Reading, Science, ICT, DT, RE, Geography, History, Music & Art, 4As in Speaking & Listening (how on earth did she get so high for listening? - it must have been the average of 6A for speaking and about 2B for listening!!!) and Maths, and 4C in PE. She's also the youngest and smallest in her class, with hypermobile joints that cause her quite a bit of pain, so she is often taped up and sent in looking like a battered child.
I was wondering whether anyone with expertise can say in which stream she is likely (not guaranteed, I know) to be placed - I'm a bit vague (there's a surprise to anyone that knows me) where it comes to this kind of thing. There will be three streams - express, complete with accelerated learning programme, the middle and those needing extra help. If there had been a stream labelled 'smart ar-es, comedians and outcasts', it would have been obvious where she was going, but as it is, I'm not sure because I'm too close to be unbiased.
**********
Driving lesson tomorrow.
And a visit from the last Bloke. Which I'm not looking forward to.
Suppose I'd better pick some clean washing up off the floor.
at the high school mine went to they only setted for Maths in the first year. they did the CATS tests - and then setted for most other stuff in year 8. However it was flexible.
she did well though!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

He is going for a scan as they think there is a lung and prostate problem to add to the mix. Not looking good. OH going over later to the hospital. This is turning out to be one of those days. I always find it hard on this date without more.
Not sure what to do with myself.
hugs - we're going through exactly the same - F-I-L- had biopsy 2 weeks ago and is back to hospital today. OH very worried - the decline in his health in 2 weeks is significant. We are 200 miles away - OH scheduled to go down on monday as his brother goes away at weekend. OH thinks he may be kept in today - now that would cause chaos!
And DD1 has her first meeting with the physio who runs the ME course today.....it is at the local psychiatric hospital:mad: - what sort of impression does that give?:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

morning everyone!
FFP - hugs
work this morning, then vets for a check up for Tess - she's much better though. On the flying front, DH is home tonight (he works away during the week) so it's a mad zip round today, just making sure it all looks ok. We've had the spare room decorated, and the carpet was laid yesterday, so it's looking really nice!! I'm determined that only appropriate things will go back in there - rather than being a general dumping ground! I'll post a photo when it's all done.
hope everyone is ok. We had rain here yesterday, so it feels much fresher, and my hayfever isn't as bad!

I ended up making Pipers hair clips for school last night some worked others didn't and I got talking to my BiL and burnt some of the ribbon in the oven:o I searched the net and have found some more ideas so I gave one a try last night and it worked a treat so I just need to buy some more ribbon in the school colours and make those too. As I was enjoying myself I'm counting that as my half hour to myself, it was great fun!for Toots, Lady-L , Diva, cyclingyorkie and everyone who needs/wants one today.
