longtermlurker wrote: »Thank you. You say your not wise then you come out with a reply like that! I'm sorry but we will have to agree to disagree on that point though I suspect more people here will agree with me than you:D
I don't like moaning here, everyone is very supportive of each other but I'm new so feel a bit of an outsider:(
The money thing I have done the budget but my main leakage is DH he is used to us both earning a good wage and now I'm not he can't seem to adjust. He tries for a while then just slips back into it. He is going to have to sort himself out quick though as our savings are pretty much gone.
I have tried to get more organised but everything is so overwhelming. I keep on top of the kitchen and bathroom but thats it. I have got the kids trained to take their own pots off the table and to strip and remake their own beds as well as put their own clean washing away (Thanks to Pen Pen for inspiring me to do that)
Pigpen Suggested 15 mins working then 15 mins rest and I find it easier that way but sometimes I cant get the motivation.
This time last year we seemed to have everything good jobs, good income, happy kids who did everything they wanted and good health. Now it all seems to be crashing down around us, my health went down the drain and everything else has followed it. Grr see I'm at it again.
Toots Thank you for all the advice and trying to get me sorted, I am going to try and post here everyday to keep me going and make myself do it. I'm glad I'm not alone with it.
I was sorry to read about your friend and hope you are ok, sending you hugs.
Natty just wanted to say thank you for your inspiring post. I have a very toxic (love that description) friend who has expected me to be there through everything for her and I haven't minded at all. Now I need her she has disappeared, I haven't seen her for 4 months and she ignores all contact. Thanks to you I am going to send her to the toxic bin with your friend. I don't need her. Hope you are ok and hugs for you too.
Hope everyone else is ok and hugs to anyone else who needs them. Lady Liberty I'm glad you enjoyed Glastonbury I am very jealous.
Sorry for such a long post but wanted to make sure I said all I needed to say. Thanks for sticking with me if you got this far.
xx
Post as often as you can!!! They can't be fussy I am here:DYou are not an outsider you are a Flylady like the rest of us, If you don't tell us what is wrong though we can't help and believe me the advice I have got on here and support has been invaluable, I do find it hard keeping on top of things but it has got easier as time has gone on, My health is going down hill as well and trying to raise 3 kids two who have health problems as well can get on top of you thats why I find flyladys so good because everyone is so supportive despite the fact others have there own problems to.
There are days we all lack motivation and this is no competition to see who gets what done first so if you dont feel like it don't do it if you can keep on top of the dailies the rest will follow take baby steps it is the best way.I have the printer turned on .. SO.. I am now printing DLA and family fund forms.. ok?.. can we not nag?
About time!!! heads for exit before being hit with flying mule:D
BD = Black Dog of depression. He has a nasty habit of slinking in the back door just when folks think he's been banished; lot of us Flyladies are sadly familiar with him.
I hope you have now Banished him LW if not show him the door:D
Have to agree there though I to am very familiar with him wish I wasn't:(
I have done it finally I have got rid of all that horrible polystyrene coving that was here when we moved in and all the adhesive has gone hands are very painfull so have taken some tablets and having coffee break and than I will try and get some filling done before tea:D
Plan for tomorrow get ceiling painted and I need to pick the paint to go on 3 walls have picked wallpaper for feature wall and that arrived today.
As for the price some of you are having to pay for school uniform:eek::eek: DD1 has to have a blazer but lucky she is small so it cost me £10 in Asda and I sew the badge on myself;):jmember of the thrifty gifty 2011 :j0 -

Hi all
I've got most of the dailies done. Chucked kids out while it's cleared up for a bit and since my last post I have a new lodger. 14 week old black lab called zac he's here as my neighbours have had to go to Liverpool as a relative is unwell.
Need to make a shopping list for OH I'm like old mother hubbard here today. I really should go iron his hospital clothes it our turn for visiting tonight but I CBA.
Lady-Lneed to top up so I'll text you later x
Piggers thats some school uniform I thought I was bad at about £450 for the 3 of mine:eek: glad our school stuff isn't so pricey. Reall need to think about making DD's hair clips now that I think about it or I may never get round to it:o.I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
Longtimelurker - aww *blush*. I just put what I was going through with "Toxic", and as the girls on here will testify it's been an ongoing saga since September of last year. And they all knew what I should've done but me being was being stubborn and hanging on to a one sided friendship. Although finally the power of the flylady girls got through to me eventually and I started seeing sense, so took the bull by the horns so to speak. The painful thing is that "Toxic" and I were friends for over 27 years now through thick and thin and we had stood by each other through all this. It's only lately that she changed, or I changed and finally noticed her faults. Now I hope she doesn't blabb any stuff to DH, as I trusted her with my innermost stuff..that could be awkward..
I hope you feel better about it soon. Doubt she will say anything to your DH, if she has fallen out with you she has probably fallen out with him as well. Take care and thanks for the kick. xxFor what it's worth, I did take Mr LW's credit card away at one point!:rotfl:
BD = Black Dog of depression. He has a nasty habit of slinking in the back door just when folks think he's been banished; lot of us Flyladies are sadly familiar with him.Longterm
BD is the abbreviation of Black Dog, a phrase for depression used, I believe, by Winston Churchill (and no, I don't rememebr him saying it:rotfl:)
,
Thanks for the explanation, I have never heard that before. Unfortunately I have my own black dog to add to the pack. In fact sometimes I feel the whole pack is here with me.You learn to love to liveYou fight and you forgiveYou face the darkest nightJust live before you die0 -
DS2 has a white polo shirt for GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!! how insane is that?Have just eaten a piece of the cake - was very nice, but I need a cup of tea now, as it was quite rich. Longtime - I agree, someone should be cooking the cake for me, but everyone I know is at work today, and I have had eggs in the fridge for a while now, and haven't had a minute to bake, so thought I'd make a cake for me.
Gosh I had better shut up now I haven't talked this much in my life:oYou learn to love to liveYou fight and you forgiveYou face the darkest nightJust live before you die0
