You could try for a Sygma card. I'd personally apply for the silver card. Reason being, is I'm guessing it has a slightly lower pass mark on the credit score than the Creation card (as the Creation card has 15 months 0% and Silver has 6 months).

They may decline you until the default is satisfied however.

I presume you have the capital one classic at 34.9%? If this is so, you may want to consider closing the account and then applying for the Capital One Progress - this starts at 34.9% but decreases as long as you keep to the terms of the account, you can check it out on their website.

    Good luck! :o

I've just been approved for the flybe card so I'm considering what to do with my Vanquis and Capital One cards. My capital one classic interest rate is below the starting point for their progress card (30.34%), so would they be able to just switch it over - I'm not bothered if it goes up at all as I always pay in full? I assume there will be no more credit checking etc?

I've had it for around 9 months with one credit limit increase to 200 pounds - but I've got a lot more credit available than I did when they first approved me).

With Capital One, (I think) you have to close the current one you have and re-apply for a different card.

As soon as you've closed it, you can apply straight away for a new Capital One card.

Your capital one card has an APR of 34.9% - 30.4% is the simple interest rate, not the APR.

    30.4/12=2.53

    1.0253 ^ 12 = 1.349

    (1.349-1)*100 = 34.9% which is your APR :o
