I applied for the silver card yesterday by phone and the man said that it "was agreed in principle" and that I have to sign the paperwork and send it back, does that mean that I have got the card?

Usually, yes. They won't have you sign the paperwork if they've declined you, but don't splash out on the £100 bottles of champagne just yet, nothing is guaranteed until you actually have the card in your hands. :D

Oh yeah and the 25k minimum salary..
Don;t understand why they are asking 25k minimum salary when they are still giving out crap limits with it..

It could all be about the customer base. They've accepted a lot of sub-primers and perhaps they want to stock up on customers with slightly higher income, hence the card targeted specifically at those people.

Kilasuit - Do you think you may cancel your Vanquis card eventually?

I think I have too much available credit as it's nearly as high as my income!

Most likely as the interest is diabolical and with just getting the DAYS card at 19.9 almost a third of my vanquis i think the time isnt that far away.

Hi. I am peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed by this skanky card. I had one when it was the Lewis's Charge Card. They stopped that and I got a Selfridge Card. Then I got a Nine West one and then finally a Dolcis one. They just seem to to close outlets and then give you an account card for the next naff shop.
It's been called a SEARSCARD and then a DUET CARD and now it's this SYGMA BANK card.

It's crap. I just applied and got a knock back and I have held one throughout the 80's and 90's in all it's storecard offerings. They have the buckin' cheeck to knock me back!

My Equifax is like a golden ball as well! :)
