if your good they may give you £150 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Lol yeah but used well and they'll have upped it to £3,000 within a couple of years... and upped the APR to 74.9% along with it (they did this with my OH)
. 74.9% APR!?!? I've seen their tiers, they're ridiculous, I'd put my student loan on me being on the top tier!!! :rotfl:

Little advice if you don't mind?
I currently owe £2,500 ish and my NET monthly income is £1,150.
I repay £225 of my debt each month.
I get income weekly, fortnightly, four weekly, and monthly.
The weekly and fortnightly income goes into my savings account until the 1st of each month when it goes back into my current account.
I am overdrawn for 5~10 days of the month.
I have never incurred a penny in charges.
I personally am confident that this is relatively good running of accounts for someone on a not-so-great income. Do you think this justified a CPD marker on my account?
Do you think if I were to move to say, the Halifax, I would stand a better chance of super-approvals running my accounts in this fashion? (Actually if it was the Halifax I wouldn't want an OD at £1 a day)
If you think LTSB's stance is too stringent and other banks would be less so I'll consider moving.
Mate then you should forget HBOS - have you not considered HSBC - they only search CC once you've been pre-approved so easy to pass......
I think you sound like a decent customer to be fair, however I do not understand this thing with Lloyds - something doesn't add up, but if you know their back-door criteria then surely you're better staying put for at least 6 months no? You're in so see what happens in 6mths after doing what you describe above?
I love HSBc even after all the !!!!!! they've put me thru lately (and I also now have a similar block on my hsbc accounts) - but it doesn't worry me cos I do not use credit etc in that way!2010 - year of the troll

HSBC would be a fine idea; but not for a couple of years yet. Not with BR on my credit file.
The only reason I was thinking HBOS is because their acceptance criteria for a full current account is "no CCJs / Decrees / BR in the last 36 months".
Barclays and RBS Group are no-no's; as RBS group were part of m BR (hence AVU throwing out my recent Current Plus app) and Barclays just don't like me (they sent me the "in 14 days you won't be a customer any more, don't come back" letter last year. Because their Personal bankers hadn't taken sufficient ID and my accounts failed audit. Obviously they won't confirm it, but I know it to be the case when a telephone agent slipped up one day)
Co-op is the same as HSBC; not until my BR drops off.
And Santander... well. They're Santander.
I guess it's best I stay put, trying to work the system, until I can go to HSBC in a couple of years time
LOLZ Bank of Cyprus would have me given they search EQ but... nah.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Well yes, that's certainly the surface of it but they do look at the whole 12 months not just three to six.
The whole scoring technique and exactly how it works will be far to complex for you or I to understand - involves neural nets and existing-customer-performance based analisys and all sorts.
But it seems to pay more with LTSB than any other bank I've been with to keep a healthy running balance in your account at all times, not just use it regularly and have a high turnover.
Makes no odds.
I opened my LTSB account in January 2009, after they recommended their Gold account to me. Upon application it declined the Gold account but offered Silver, which I took (and subsequently downgraded a few months later). Was told at the time to wait 6 months and "run the account well" and all should be good for an upgrade.
In that time, the balance has always been in 4 figures, no charges, DD's and SO's come out regularly and my salary is credited, but no, there is a CPD marker on the account which is preventing me from running my account in any other way than a basic cash account.
Their answer last time I was in branch 3 months ago was to "obtain and manage credit with them and they'd review"... well Einstein, how do I do that with a CPD marker.... Jeez!
Is there a complaints procedure for this? I don't even know what the big deal is... I didn't want the interest free OD or CGC anyway, so why is it scored in that way?!?
My mere suggestion at the time that I'd take my business elsewhere was greeted with indifference, and even a hint of delight....
I've never known a bank to refuse money off a customer before. It beggars belief...I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -

Well I'll give them six months and if it's still there I'll pop along to Halifax.
You're right though, it beggars belief.
I think the address to write to is:
Lloyds TSB
Personal Lending Decisions
3rd Floor
Victory House
Trafalgar Place
Brighton
BN1 4FY
And how do I know this? I was given it by online banking just now when trying to increase my OD by £50 just to see if they've done what they said they did.
And they haven't. CPD marker still there. Retards.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Thanks for this - proves what i've been saying all along that their policy is bollix and dodgy, at best! Also proves that the fact you run your account in line with their "graphs and charts" means nothing, as I stated yesterday!
I'm too long in the tooth and have learned almost all there is to learn about the banking procedures with the main lenders - cocky, maybe - but also fact.
I'd close and move your accounts, sod em! You don't need that.2010 - year of the troll

I guess that bloke I saw yesterday was using as much guesswork and assumption as everyone else I've spoken to there then.

Want me to show you something to prove my point - promise though, you won't laugh?
p.s. its not you i'm being clever with matey but I do understand lending policies and the main elements of credit scoring - that is why I was being argumentative yesterday - seen it all before you see2010 - year of the troll

Lol yeah go for it but I trust you more than LTSB. No two people have said the same thing there and none of them know how their computer is making the decision they're just guessing to the best of their (in)ability.
