Flutterby - maybe it's the remains of the hangover?! Feel better soon.

God I hope not! I'm too young to get 2 day hangovers! It's definately a cold, I was losing my voice on Friday night, plus been through a box of tissues today! :rotfl:

Just been for a short walk by the beach, the tide is way out at moment. The beach is surprisingly empty today, I doubt that many people would have been watching the match. I took a detour via the ice cream parlour :D.

    Afternoon all.

Nice day here, lots of wind and sun, so bbq should be good...off in a few minutes.

Did my good deed for the day a few minutes ago....saved a baby rabbit from Sile's ravening jaws...she was not amused I can tell you, headed out immediately so not sure that I hid the poor little mite well enough in the hedge...not sure where he came from so may have left him too far away from his mam.

Made two sponges instead of pavlova....one for us one for barbie...now smothered in cream, stewed gooseberries and red currants, rather hungry now but want my savoury stuff before cream sponge!

    Hugs to all

...I really can't get over this low carb diet, I am never hungry and the weight is falling off (1 stone 2lbs and I have lost 2 inches from my ample boobs and bum an inch off the top of my arms, 2 inches off my thunder thighs:o and four inches from my waist :jand I have only been doing it for two weeks :)

What diet is it Butterfly? I could do with something like that to slim a little for the wedding!

Don't feel bad about having a couple of takeaway curries. You are both unwell and in pain and you really enjoyed them.

Put in an offer for a house we viewed on Thursday and gave the vendors a week to consider it.

The EA phoned yesterday and said our second offer had been accepted!!!

Can't wait to get moved in as soon as we can as it looks perfect for our family. Good sized Garden, garage, downstairs cloakroom, en suite in two bedrooms and space if all Dds are at home at times like Christmas, birthdays etc. I don't dare get excited in case things fall through.

Made a huge lasagne for lunch with garlic bread and salad. Have loads left over for tomorrow and have YS lamb steaks for tomorrow.

Not sure how to have the lamb and my recipe notebook and BM instructions still have not turned up.

Watched the football match and as a Scot found it "interesting". My late dad would have laughed his head off.

    Hugs to all

Elona - hope it turns out for you!

Flutterby - Must just be me that has the two day hangover then. Must be my age!!

Have decided to be a Scot again after this afternoon's footie performance! Better luck and better playing next time.

Evening, everyone! Just popping in to say hi to you all :) It's been a lovely day here - went out for a ride and visited some friends. Boy has it been hot though! I was lucky enough to pop a small gammon joint in the slow cooker while it was cooler last night so I've got lovely slices of gammon in wraps with salad for tea :D Mmm, and tomorrow, and perhaps the day after :D

Made a batch of low-fat spiced apple muffins this afternoon when I got back. I sort of wish I hadn't as it did make it a bit warmer, however it'll be worth it tomorrow morning when I can take one to the station with me instead of buying a pricey one there! Now all I need is one of those insulated mugs so that I can take a frothy coffee (from a sachet ;) ) and not pay £5 for breakfast! I have let myself slip :( I shall overcome though. :)

    Elona - that's great news :)
Meanmarie - Aww, bless. Glad you saved the baby rabbit.

Have a nice evening everyone. Keep cool.

    evening everyone

After my resolve to get posting again have been MIA again :o

Mainly because I was catching up after our weekend away, and because of the weather, when it gets hot our office gets really HOT and I mean really hot, it was 32 in there last week, I get home, have a shower to cool down then errrrrr fall onto the sofa and recover :rotfl:

Did all through yesterday before it got too hot, was just the hoovering to do but DSD was still in bed, so took a book outside, by the time she surfaced it was too hot to do anything so carried on with said book.

Today we have been to Rhyl, well to me, a beach is take a book and there you stay, OH can't sit still, first it was shall I get the picnic, ok, then shall we go for a walk? errrrrr no! but I did give in and go for a walk, actually went into the town and got a couple of sundresses, a size smaller :D

Got back, have washed the 3 throws we took down the beach today and they are on the line, OH has just gone down to buy a tent of the next door neighbour of someone who I work with, hoping we can get a couple of weekends away camping soon.

Am going back to read Saturdays and todays thread now

    cyas soon xxxx

floss2 Itis the New Atkins diet and it really does work, The first week is hard and you do get headaches but I have a new lease of energy on this diet.
For example this is what I have had today

Breakfast: 2 eggs, 2 rashers of bacon and mushrooms

Mid -morning: A stick of celery with philli smeared on

Lunch: HM Low-carb bacon and onion quiche with a little mayo and salad

    Mid- afternoon: HM Low-carb brownie

Dinner: Gammon Steak with salad followed by a bowl of strawberries and cream

All this came to 18 net carbs so I am well within the induction allowance of 20 carbs per day

You can get a lot of the information from here :
    http://www.atkins.com/RecipeLanding.aspx

A word of caution your breath will whiff a bit until you go on to phase 2 that is a good sign though because it shows that your body is now converting it's fat stores to energy hence the weight loss:D and there are loads of sites that do low carb recipes one of my faves is http://genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html
