[*]Hi there! This is the Old Style Daily Thread for Sun 27th June. It is an 'Over the garden fence' type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier![*]As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.[*]When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new Daily Thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two Dailys' live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new Daily Thread after they get up in the morning. [*]Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “Hi everyone, hope you are all well” type start is just as good
Morning. Not too much time today. I have work in a minute and I know it will be a long and arduous day with pressure..... Will look forward to coming home.
Hot one forecast here. Too dry though, things are stunted and there is only so much hose you can use..... Have a good day....

Morning N9eav, Ladygrim & all to follow.
Its actually hot already this morning so gawd only know's how warm it will be later. Its a stunning morning out there - best time of the day.
Today's plans - take DS boxing this morning, am looking forward to this as I drop him off then have to kill 2 hours in Chelmsford as not worth driving home again. Starbucks here I come, may have a little look around the shops as the sales are on but will try not to be tempted, will have a little look in Lakeland too
.
House is quite neat and tidy and its too hot to do housework anyway, ironing pile is gone :j......for now.
Have my sister and a couple of friends coming round to watch the football later, everyone is bringing their swimming stuff and I think the pool will get some use today - shows how hot it is - even I went in it yesterday.
Dinner will be burgers and sausages on the barbeque.
Have a great Sunday.x0 -
Essex-Girl well done on clearing the ironing xxxworking hard at this thing called life0

Morning all
Nice to see you posting Ladygrim.
Sunny here again today, WM is on, DW is on, I have ironing to do, which I'm about to start on before it gets too hot in the kitchen. I got nothing much done yesterday as I was manning the First Aid tent at a local fete, I ended up manning the soft drinks tent next door to it aswell as they were short handed, it was good fun, I used to help at lots of fete's when my children were younger.
Today's plans include making rice pudding as I have too much milk, making rhubarb crumble & banana bread to use up the bananas that are going brown.
Hubby & I are having scambled eggs for breakfast, he's having sausage & bacon with his. Roast lamb for lunch & I shall make rissoles with the leftovers.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Golly not usuallyup this early on a sunday!! The dog woke me when she decided to open the garage door ( internal one) and go in for a lie down?? Then the cat tried to have a drink out of DD3's water glass and knocked it over - all over aaaaargh. DD3 not too impressed and slammed bedroom door shut not sure where the water is now???
Yeaterday we swam in the sea it was lovely. lots of baking and freezing, bbq with friends cards till late. Nice evening.
DH came home from work at 3 am so he will be in bed for ages yet he had to po over to Paris and drop something off, a local trip by his standards there and back in a day!!
Today we have nothing planned so either another walk to the beach or mabey a cooler walk in the woods on the downs?? I saved my ironong for the football not sure when it is on but I will be in another room listening to the radio ironing ( I am a bit OCD with the ironing)
Have another bright and sunny day

Morning all
Looks like a lovely day for all of us been up since 3am as someone set fire to my next door but one neighbours fence and that then set fire to the shed which woke us when the windows blew out funnily enough its the same method that was used on us a few months ago unfortunatly the owner is at his daughters for her 40th so doesnt know yet just very stressfull as we all know who it is but cant prove it they live next door to the latest incident.
Right Ds has just left for army cadet recruitment at the local fort there is a truck rally there as well DD1 is off to her boyfriends as she has been invited to the nans for dinner we are having BBQ again mum will be here later
Will do the ironing later when DH goes to work at 6pm

just had 2 wonderful days in London with DD1, she was completely taken with oxford street lol, and spent most of her money on there

would love to go again ( when ive saved up !)
I have just been in the garden and there are loads of courgette flowers :j so ive tickled them with a paint brush ( they are mostly male flowers at the moment though but i see female ones coming :T
we had some carrots from the garden last night , just picked washed and eaten- lovely - everything seems to be growing really well
need to strip the beds today

Morning Guys!
Not read through all the posts, so hope all is well.
Had lots of distressing things going here the last 2 weeks...I did post about it, but deleted almost immediately as it was TMI:o...I feel very low and keep crying which isnt like me at all, so trying to keep busy mentally to get through time ATM.
Anyway, although I have kept up with the washing and my helper has done the jobs around the home needing doing, we have bought 2 curries these past 10 days:eek::eek::eek::eek:....I am truly embarrased, but was craving them as they are delicious and just in too much pain with no energy to prepare anything. Hubby is doing more than he should be as his leg is still bad and has to rest it quite a lot. I have been meal planning, but just the lack of caring has taken over. I WILL try harder and get back on track.
I have been keeping busy with our business plans, which by my accounts, should be up and running through the 6 weeks holiday.:j:j:j....cards have been ordered/received...they look great, signs for the car, leaflets etc etc.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know that i'm okay.
Hugs to all.

Morning all
DH has been given another days work so he has been deposited in the city for 7:30 this morning to get picked up. Step kids aren't back until this afternoon and the twins are still in bed so just me and DD up...she is currently drinking the remains of her weetabix milk from the bowl...classy
DS1 went threw the house yesterday and hoovered and tidied everywhere and washed the kitchen & hall floors for me as I struggle a bit with that these days. Have a couple of loads of washing to do and the living room to straighten up and then I think i'll braise some mince in the slow cooker as a starter for some meals. Also have some blueberries and a request for blueberry muffins for DH.
Have another MS which will be lunch today although I'm taking DD and Twins so two meals I get reimbursed for and the other two will be covered by the fee and I think we're going to go in DS1s new car.
Foot is still really sore so must try and go easy on it today as I'm back at work tomorrow.
Enjoy your day - hopefully it will finish with England in the next round ...but I won't hold my breath!Climbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness
