Morning all.....................((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Another lovely morning, yesterday was quite overcast, but muggy, today it is clear and bright, we have a breeze to keep the temperture down.
OH playing bowls this afternoon, could be there for 7 hours!! he is taking water, suncream and a hat with him. I have to prepare a salad for his lunch, will make some potato salad, the parsley is going mad in the garden.
The outcome of the meeting over Suntrap was quite positive, but we now have a huge task, the prepare a business plan and raise money to keep the garden open.....we also need a huge bank of volunteers. A bit of a daunting task, but at least we have been given a stay of execution. There are numerous problems to be overcome, not least the repair of ther buildings on the site.
Not sure what I am going to do with myself whilst OH is out. I will possibly sort out fabric for a wall hanging I have been asked to make........I will have to put the country quilt on hold for a while. I also have a nine patch quilt that is long overdue for quilting, I made it 5 years ago and its still patiently waiting.
The new fridge freezer is going to take some getting used to, its only now I realise that the old one has not been working correctly for some time, possibly since before we moved. I got a £50 discount because there was a small dint in the door, no problem I just put a fridge magnet over it.......
Our debt cannot grow anymore, Its cost us an arm and a leg to move and I have to get it paid back.
Car insurance is due next month, money is in a savings account ready, service is being done down south in September........thats all the bills for this year. I will be seeing if I can get it cheaper, OH has not helped by getting a speeding conviction last year, so they will charge me for that. He drives on my insurance, we changed it over some years ago, when I bought a car.
I read the leccy meter yesterday, waiting with baited breath for the bill.......I have just arranged to change suppliers, hopefully our bills will go down a bit. One thing is for sure I bill will not be as muich as our neighbours, she pays £80 a month, but then she will insist on using the dryer for her washing!!
Time to go.............another coffee calling and need to see about lunch. Bye for now...................Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Morning all
I feel icky
I appear to have a cold. I didn't sleep too well, got up at 7am and it was raining  managed to get 2 more hours sleep and now it's lovely and sunny :j
I have no plans today. My car is still at my friends house from Friday night and she is busy today so I prob won't get it back til Tues! I don't need it as such as I walk to work. I may take my bike to the bike shop and see if they can fix it. Other than that I am going to watch the F1 and read.
Yesterday I made the most delicious couscous salad, it was really quick to make, so that will become a staple lunch for work. I'm going to finish it off today and then make a big pot of it for next few days. I also made some Tzatsiki (greek dip with mint, cucumber, yogurt and garlic) which was very yummy but very garlicky! No vampires here :rotfl: Don't think I should have it for a work lunch!
I may make veggie lasagne for tea, have a new recipe without the white sauce ( I'm not a huge fan of it) so will give it a go.
Have a great day all, enjoy the footie if you are a fan!

Morning all,
Hope you are all well and those of you who are feeling rotten at the moment, have a huge hug from me.
Mioliere, were your ears burning, I was just saying yesterday you haven't been in for a while, so nice to see you! Penpin, if you need to post it, it's not TMI, we won't mind! {{{hugs}}} for you. XX
I am in the middle of fixing our picnic, as we are off out for the day to the local theme park, I don't like the place very much, but it's what DS2 has chosen for his birthday treat. Baby no longer, he is eight today, and delighted!! Football gifts,, balloons, and cards, he thinks he's died and gone to heaven.
I'll post a pic on FB later to show him off, if anyone fancies a nosey.
New mattress was fab last night, although it is vry high, I felt like the princess and the pea! :rotfl:
Hope everyone has a lovely day today, see you all later.

Morning chums its a scorcher here already in Kent and I hate to think how hot it will be this afternoon.I am off to eldest Dds this afternoon for a couple of hours and then to youngest Dds tonight for dinner .At the moment I don't think I fancy eating much as its just too blooming warm.I have been working my way through lots of paperwork this morning to do with my genealogy and have just put it all away as its too hot to concentrate on what I still need to keep and what I can bin .So now I am just going to put my feet up and have a read for a little while in the conservatory as the sun should have moved around a bit so its a bit shadier.have a great day everyone and fingers crossed for the footballers this afternoon
Cheers Chums

Morning All
Bright and sunny, maybe not quite as warm as the UK around 26C, but not complaining about that.
DS has just emailed from his first package tour holiday with GF, to say it looks like the airline they are due to come home on has gone bankrupt Kibris Turkish Airlines, if anyone hears anything about that please post me a link. I have searched but nothing on BBC yet. He is due to fly from Dalaman, Turkey on Friday, not sure who he booked the package with will talk to GF's M&D shortly, so not sure if he is with ABTA or not!! He is not panicing, he is fairly level headed and I am sure they will find a flight somehow.
:bdaycake: to JackieG DS 8 - nearly a teenager!!
We are busy doing some chores DH is fitting a towel rail, and inside cupboard bin to the kitchen to finish it off, patios swept, managed to see the end of Nadal's match, and Murray's match last night, may watch the GP today, but will just keep fingers crossed for the footie, and listen to the cheers and groans, as we are not footie fans.
 to some of the old faced (not literally) here today. M will mail you later. :grouphug: where needed.
:hello: to less familiar/new names - hard to take names in when travelling, but should he here occasionally now, but I have decided I am spending too much time browsing, so will make a concerted effort to be more productive.
Take care all. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club

Hiya everyone,
hot here today, DS2 not sure what to do with himself, he a bit hot and bothered.
Boys in pool at 9am this morning, took ages to fill as we dont have a hose! I've been to town to get fruit, veg and fresh stuff we need as no tesco delivery this week, means I can take Ds2 to the park straight after school tomorrow before it gets too hot.
Had message of brother SIL and kids on facebook, there in Florida, its so hot that they have had to go to the cinema to escape the sun - apparently Toy Story 3 is amazing! They sved for two years for this holiday and now its too hot with thunder storms, even sea world(think thats what is called) cancelled the show while they in there due to thunder storms.
Tea is fish pie for boys and pizza for me and OH - he is currenlty trying to convince the boys to watch the england match, they bit young to understand you have to watch it for that long!
Take care in the sun everyone xxMum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -
Afternoon All
I was up at 5.30 this morning - It really was too warm to try and get back to sleep so I got up and pottered for a bit.

PP (((((((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))))
I have made a quiche, a granary bread and a banoffee pie for dinner tonight and have picked a lettuce and made a howge salad - I can have the quiche minus the pastry but not the banoffee pie or bread (but I have loads of strawberries that are ready to pick and I will have them with cream
I really can't get over this low carb diet, I am never hungry and the weight is falling off (1 stone 2lbs and I have lost 2 inches from my ample boobs and bum an inch off the top of my arms, 2 inches off my thunder thighs:o and four inches from my waist :jand I have only been doing it for two weeks
Oh well I am off to do my meal plan so TTFN and I will pop back later xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Afternoon All
Not hot here! There have been a few showers but in between it is warm and sunny but a little breezy. Am in a moany mood as I didn't get to bed till after midnight as DS2 is off to the US today for 5 weeks (tough when you have been a student eh?). He cleared his flat yesterday with the help of DD and dumped it all in the garage/hall. After sorting through what he would need he asked if there was any chance that he could do some washing and have it for this morning! After a few choice words from me it was finished at six this morning. I had to get up at 5 so that I could put the remaining stuff in the drier. I know the TD is for emergencies but I could have had it all done yesterday. Took him into Glasgow for 8 this morning and he will spend the night in London and fly out tomorrow. After all that, I hope he has a good time. Came home and started to sort his stuff into reasonable piles and then had to go for a lie down - slept for about 2 hours!
All invigorated now but one of the washing lines has snapped so had to go and pick it all up. It was nearly dry so have given it a good shake and it is on the rack now.
JackieO - glad you enjoyed your walk yesterday, you sound to lead a very interesting and busy life, good on you!
JackieG - Happy Birthday to DS, enjoy your day.
Good to hear from you PenPin, hope things improve soon.
Flutterby - maybe it's the remains of the hangover?! Feel better soon.
Stay safe everyone and enjoy your Sundays.0 -
