  • Wouldnt this come under "References to eBay or PayPal investigations" and therefore be feedback abuse which Ebay should remove?

Well even if it doesn't it's worth a try eh?

    Good thinking. :)
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

Thanks for mentioning that, could you tell me more?

I've spoken to eBay support this morning and they mentioned something you can do if the buyer doesn't revise. Not sure it was that though.

    This link explains it:

Have to say, though, I would never open an unpaid item case without sending a polite and pleasant personal reminder about payment via eBay messages first.

    Ta,

It's something I'll certainly consider doing in the future even if it's just a stock line.

Having read the above, does an unpaid case constitute an 'investigation'?

I think probably not. Might be worth a try though, you never know, they might just remove it.
  • I thought all disputes were classed as "investigations" but having never needed to do it I wouldnt truely know.

You can let ebay open & close cases automatically after 4 days of non payment. Seller account, site preferences, unpaid item assistant. I'm going to switch that on & put a note on my auctions stating that an NPB case will open automatically after 4 days.
    Does anyone else use this?

Don't use it ourselves, but apparently it's fairly glitchy.

There was a thread on the PS boards about it opening cases instantly

We use it, but although it says it kicks in after 7 days, it does after 4. Then it closes on the 8th.

So I would agree it is 'glitchy' but my glitch is easy to understand and consistent. :rotfl:
