amazing how the company reps come sniffing around so there public image doesn't look bad shame they didn't read the first bit of the post
I've tried ringing the broadband helpline but they say it has nothing to do with them
which is true of the nosupportasurs as in the adverts, but talktalk is a very poor isp when you get into there traffic management/shaping systems unless the rep would care to us all it doesnt happen? which it does btw.
my father inlaw asked me which broadband to get for his budget i told him best deal for his money was post office so what did he go do yes you guessed it he went with talk talk now his broadband is so slooow he now needs to spend twice as long using itwhere he needs to upload music to his webpages etc etc0 -

For the past few weeks I have had problems visiting the forums of a particular website, although the site itself works fine.
Each time I try I get the following error:
Oops! This link appears broken.
DNS error occurred. Server cannot be found.0 -

It's definately not embarrassing! It's TES (Times Educational Site) and the forums are the teaching forums. Previously they have been fine however for the past 3 weeks I have had no access from my home computer, although it works fine at work.0 -

Still unable to access the site, several users on the TalkTalk forum also reported the same problem and even after trying all the suggestions I still have no access. Can't understand why TalkTalk is not fixing the problem!
I wondered if someone could recommend a broadband provider, I've been with Talk Talk since they launched and not sure which one to choose as I need to ensure the TES forums do work (http://community.tes.co.uk/forums/82.aspx). The issue with the site appears to be with TalkTalk, however I have heard that BT also has probs with its DNS servers though not tried this site.

Because Talktalk is a telephone company who plays at being an internet service provider. When decent ISPs are charging £20+ per month, what do you think gets cut with those that bundle it in for free or next to nowt?0 -

The nice TalkTalk rep in that 20 day old thread was much more eloquent, used up many more of the worlds vowels but inevitability dribbled the same vacuous rubbish as the TalkTalk rep in this thread.

Attn, TalkTalk rep :
I assume you are working unpaid for your employer on this board. You may not even be aware that the purpose of your role is to pull complaints from here and other venues to a place where they can be ' laundered ' away from the public.
If your company can't action problems, do your homework and avoid looking stupid by tectonic / repetitive posting. Avoid entering a thread you know has no solution - yet .. .. .. Other than to say - we are aware of the problem etc etc.
We are aware that you can't control your engineers / management and make them fix the problem, but you can go a long way to avoid the mouth / foot / foot / mouth issue.
Kind Regards, RichieDisclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. I try to be an even-handed poster and accept that you at times may not agree with these opinions or how I choose to express them, this is not my problem.
