Having read the Land Rover pdf guide I can see a couple of issues to check.

On your phone you need to check your software version, to do this enter *#0000#

It should be displayed as V X.XX you need to have one of these versions, 3.5, 3.62, 3.7

If you don't have one of these and it is a lower number then you need to upgrade your phone software.

Also another noted problem when syncronising your phonebook with your PTI system is how the numbers are stored. It states that the phone book will not work if only one number is stored on the SIM card.

Can you check both the software version on your phone and how your numbers are stored? If you need to upgrade the phone software we will attempt to do this later. Also copy at least two numbers onto the SIM card.

Once you have checked these post back.

Also did you get a CD with Nokia PC Suite with your phone and did it have a data cable to connect phone to PC?

Before attempting a software update we will need to backup your phonebook with the PC Suite software. Don't worry if you haven't got it as you can download it from the Nokia site.

As an aside your integrated system looks very good and I'm green with envy.:D

Just responded to your PM - spooky timing as I came on board specifically to inform you of the final outcome.

The car got a Land Rover recall for a software problem, and after a bit of a battle (again) I got the garage to put in the required patch, free of charge, at the same time - which now means everything works beautifully.

It took a long time, but paid off in the end.
