Shoes too small

Hi
Sold some wedding shoes on ebay , the buyer emailed me today to say they are really nice but too small , can she return for a full refund

My answer is going to be no , but is there where a seller gets the dreaded bad feedback for no reason ?

I selected the `no returns` option..

Thanks

Offer a refund on return. Your silly not to. Saying no returns means nothing all she needs to do is open a paypal dispute and say they are not as described and she will get to return them anyway

At least if you offer the refund you should get good feedback and the shoes back in the condition you sent them in

If she reported them to ebay/paypal as 'not as described' then surely you will have no choice but to refund her anyway?

Maybe the best way would be to refund off your own back and maybe it would save you from receiving bad feedback. This is why i won't sell clothing/footwear on ebay anymore, too many different brands with different concepts of sizing, even stating exact measurements doesn't make it foolproof.

I never said no returns , its the default setting when placing a new listing
And she can say that if she likes they were advertised as a size 6 , they physically ARE a size 6 , so how can she claim not as described ?

I assumed by "My answer is going to be no" that you meant no returns?

Whether they're as described or not we all know what paypal and ebay are like, if she claims they're not a size 6 then they'll simply ask her to return them to you for a full refund. There's not much you can do unfortunately.

Get this though as the buyer i opened a snd the other day after emailing the seller, she said no. PP sided with the seller!
It was a top that was described as seconds but no major faults and still wearable. It turned up with a ripped belt loop (not wearable in my book) and as she hadn't mentioned the loops i didn't even know it originally came with a belt so that was missing too.

Moral of the story PP are a PITA

I dont think it works quite that simply.....
They physically ARE a size 6 , and she has already emailed through ebay to say they are perfect but a tad small for her....doesnt change the fact they were advertised as a 6 and actually ARE a 6...

In that case i'm unsure, as a business seller i know my rights and my customers rights with regards to the distance selling regulations. As far as i'm aware they don't apply to auctions by personal sellers though. But as always it will be left in the hands of paypal and we all know how unpredictable they can be.
