LBS Parking services clamp car doing a U turn - Daily Mail.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1289280/Female-motorist-blocked-clamped-doing-U-turn-car-park.html
A mechanic who works in the garage opposite said the clampers - from firm LBS Enforcement - were 'ruthless'.
The worker, who did not want to be named, said: 'They wait up the road in their vans. They trap people with their vans and if someone argues with them, they ramp up the charges.'
Locals said it was not the first time that LBS Enforcement had clamped someone who had simply entered the car park to turn around.
Robert Jones, the manager of LBS Enforcement, said: 'Of course we are pleased when we can clamp people. We would rather clamp someone than have them drive off. It's how we make our money.
'There is nothing wrong with what they have done whatsoever. By agreeing to park there she is agreeing to have her car clamped.
'She has got a cheek complaining. She was trespassing on private property.'

LBS Security are well know thugs. They have over 15 unpaid CCJs against them. The VAT number shown on their paperwork actually belongs to Barclay's bank, they claim they are SIA registered when they are not, and one of their vans was recently clamped for having no tax.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

LBS have clamped cars which are simply doing a U turn, having driven in and then driving straight out.

If the landowner/occupier wants to stop that they just need a bollard, not a b***ard with a clamp!

    Exactly, :T

It's quite simple, I use a bollard, and have no issues, but down the same private road I live at, lots of shops have decided to employ a clamping company, who aren't there to 'protect' the parking spaces.

They are there to purely make money, it needs to be stopped like it has been in Scotland.

There are numerous companies, such as Securak/City Watch, who all operate in the same 'thuggish' ways.

They have received lots of bad press from Watchdog and even LBS Security featured on ITV London news, but the only way to stop these companies would be a change in the law, like Scotland has banning Private Clamping companies, because it's just as bad as theft.

It wouldn't surprise me if the authorities were taking a low key but very interesting look at these thieving thugs from LBS.

It's been mentioned that they are using a bank's VAT number.

Remember a month or so ago when another of the fat thieving scumbags ended up in the nick in Birmingham? It wouldn't surprise me if more end up in the nick in the not too distant future.

    We can only hope.

Here's the fat piece of scum getting arrested. Doesn't like to show it's face does it.
I sincerely hope he loses absolutely everything. His house the lot.

Use of the Proceeds of Crime Act may deter a few.
But this Act tends to get used in higher profile higher value cases.

Clampers who used illegal tactics such as blocking people in and clamping them when doing a turn whilst still in the car? Sounds familiar, the same tactics were used by Portsmouth scumbags who were convicted of several counts of blackmail in 2005:

    Clampers convicted - blackmail
