Friday 25th June - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
:D
Gooood morning evveryone!!
A little early for me to be up, dressed and showered:eek:...but my new freezer's being delivered between 7 and 11 so have to be ready just in case it's prompt! Excited about it - how sad, excited about filling a freezer:rotfl:
Also....my DD2 is coming home this afternoon...hooray, I've missed her, but by the soyunds of the daily school reports and her postcard, they are having a brilliant time - weather's been perfect.
Ok, must crack on.
Big waves to you regulars....and huge welcomes to any new posters;);)

Morning all and thanks to milly for starting the thread. I didn't post yesterday as it was just usual stuff, but looks like I've beaten Jo today.
So far I have:- sent DH to Mr Ts late last night whilst I had an early night. He spent loads of money on a "big shop" but I don't count it as I didn't spend my money

- not needed to run WM or DW last night
- checked banking
- checked for surveys - they've been non-exsitant for days now
- had home-made granola with allotment strawberries for breakfast

- phone council as they've calculated my 4 week run-on benefit using the wrong figures. It's only about £14 but it's MY £14!
- encourage the girlies to lay more than 2 eggs today as I have customers waiting. Production has halved since they moved to their permanent run which is a bit of a worry.:o
- take lunch in to work
- have an NSD
- have a pleasant day at work as the two bosses aren't in and I can relax and potter around

Good Morning All :hello:
from a very sunny but very cold Africa
I'm back here, the house is full of the landlords workers who have opened all the windows and doors to let the paint dry - they were supposed to have finished but TIA ;)And the only escape I can think of is to wander around a shopping mall
Still, I'm pretty good at window shopping from all my years practice.....
So today I have/will:
ask the workers if they can fix the baffle board so that we can light a fire.
tonight I will roast vegetables to warm up the kitchen (it's only cold 8 weeks of the year so they haven't bothered with installing heating :rotfl:)
and we'll curl up under blankets in front of the rubbish telly. If the fire works I'll get my knitting out - oh we know how to live
I'll wander around the shops and see if I can find in chrome a particular decoration I've seen only in black......
And I MUST catch up on some correspondence, I have loads of thank-yous to write.
Enjoy your summer :rotfl: and have a great day :A0 -

You worked so hard, you deserve the fab marks. Anyway, enough of my moaning....this was meant to be a congrats post to you!!!:T:TI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
