    Asda policy could of changed since I worked there but it used to be a 1 year guarantee on all electrical items and for Asda own brand items you didnt need a receipt.... but like I say policy could of changed since I worked there..... :)

    Then how on earth would you prove your asda branded item was still under the 1 year warranty? ;)

    You didnt need to with Asda brand it was for the other brands they wanted it proving.... It was a good few year ago since a worked there though and they were more customer friendly back then.....

    Maybe changed it when they realised they could (potentially) be replacing a £4 product that was 3 years old? :D

    Fair point.... there was a lot of people who would take the p... you wouldnt believe some of the things people would do drink £10 bottles of wine then say they didnt like it to get theie money back or eat whole cakes etc then say they didnt like it and as good as make out its your fault etc etc ah yes Im starting to remember why I left now lol they used to have a policy on all Asda brand food if you didnt like it you got your money back and a replacement no questions asked......

    LOL if i didnt like something i might take a bite or two (and possibly offer someone else a bite to see if it were just me or whether it was the product) but i wouldnt even ask for a refund on that basis. personally i would only ask if there had been something wrong with the product itself :S

  • Trading Standards should get involved here and go and smash down the store's doors. OP is entitled to a full refund, compensation and arbitrary should be allowed to smack the butts of 15 shop assistants.

    As a penance, the store workers should be locked up for the weekend, regardless and we the proletariat should be allowed the freedom of the store for the duration.
