LCD or Plasma?..what is the difference?!

You forgot the bad reflection problem with Plasma, due to Glass front.0

Good point, positioning is a factor - more'so with plasma and some of the Samsung LCD's.0

Phospher trails with plasma:idea:0

Don't believe some of the anti-plasma hype.
Screen burn - your big tube CRT screens suffered from this. Hands up who it actually happened to?
Plasmas use slightly more energy than LCDs overall - LCDs use a pretty much constant amount, plasmas vary with what's on the screen. The peak usage (what's usually quoted) is totally unrealistic for plasma TVs.
Glass front. This one's annoying. People with glossy notebook screens should understand. Put a LCD in the same place as a plasma screen. The shiny plasma will reflect bright stuff in detail. The LCD will just have a soft hazy glare. Neither is ideal, both are distracting. Why is the plasma screen seen as worse?
At the end of the day, you can listen to the forum all you like, and brag to your mate that your screen has 601 Hz whilst his only has 600 Hz or whatever. Choose you budget, and look at screens. And the brightest screen in the middle of Currys IS NOT the best one!
And please learn the difference between LED TVs (they're all LED backlit instead of CCFL tubes) and OLED TVs. Completely different technologies, and none of you own an OLED TV.0
