    A bit slow to pick up on this but Garlic is fine for dogs, best administered in capsule form or 'pearls' as some companies call them. Been using it on horses for years.
    One other suggestion - both the companies mentioned earlier in the tread offer advice lines, have you tried asking their opinion ? My wife has used both in the past and found them very helpful !

    I had a german shepherd with itchy, flakey skin.

    Feeding him lamb and rice based dry food sorted it, strange really, shepherd, lamb,...sort of makes sense ;)
