OP - don't put paracetomol or ibruprofen or any kind of painkiller in your comfort baskets, it is a huge no no and if someone has a bad reaction then you could end up being sued. You are not a trained medic and therefore cannot dispense drugs.0

thought i might give this a little bump as i was searching for this thread, thinking of trying to pick up little bits and pieces for this in the next month but i couldn't remember what i wanted to put in the survival boxes lol
found a great little cardboard case like the one below
which i'm going to use as an "emergency kit" for myself so it can be packed with all the little things that i might need on the big day. I'll pop it in my mum and dad's car with the suitcases so i know where it will be.
definitely have to put the list for the guest survival kit together and check with the hotel to see if there are private toilets just for the wedding guest where we're having the reception. I think they told me there were but i'll just check.0 -
So you want to provide a small box containing essential toiletries to your guests?
Not sure I see the point TBH.
I agree - most people are able to come prepared - what is it they will be so desperate for??
I always bring wipes and hand sanitiser, plus pills and headache stick - use own perfume - who would need samples? Also if somene has unconfartable heels they should bring their own little fold-up flats in heir bag - they're not children.
Seems a lot of work for nothing.
PS - love those little cases and the brides survival items sounds a great idea.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -
one of my friends had a little survival box for the guests at her wedding and i thought it was a nice touch, there's usually only so much that you can fit into a clutch bag especially if i'm not staying the night in the hotel where the reception is. Also saves people running back and forward to the car if that's where they're keeping stuff.
i know not everyone will like it but i love the idea0 -
i think its a brill idea! and i will be stealing it it prob wont cost more then £10 to make ill got to £1 stores to get all the bits. get them over the 14months and i wont even notice that they have cost me anything. i love the flip flop idea but not sure i will bother with that that will cost a little more but will keep a look out in the sales for cheapie flats/flops. my favours for 50 guests are under £10 which i think is good. i was wondering if anyone had a little rhym or poem to put on the toiletry survival kits so when in the W/Cs people will know what they are for.
