I used to be a wedding planner and generally, every wedding day there would be requests for:
mints (usually the groom, very last minute!)
plasters
sewing kit
safety pins
indigestion tablets
face powder/blotting paper
nail file
tooth picks
I also used to get a surprising number of requests for reading glasses!
Also, just a thought but on the one wedding I did where we made flip flops available (we actually provided those ballerina style flats) I also put out another basket and a pot of luggage labels with things like:
'I belong to (insert name). We're on a break.'
'These are X's Shoes and they're having a time-out to think about what they've done'
'These boots weren't made for walking...or dancing. They belong to...'
OK, it didn't have people rolling in the aisles but it worked and shoes were easily found at the end of the night!0 -

Excellent idea! I think I'll be borrowing it too!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Im not "on the waiting list" as I got married in March this year-but I still like to lurk here
It is a lovely idea, but I wondered about children and babies attending?
If there are any, you could put in a pack of nappies, a pot of bum cream and some nappy sacks. I went to a few weddings when my ds was ickle-and you always "thought you still had 5 nappies in the bag, only to discover you only had three".
Being a guest at a wedding with a wet bum on a baby is always stressful-you spend more time thinking what excuse to use to leave early once that last nappy is on.0 -
