I don't see why people would want flip flops with their dressy clothes (I'm assuming this is a wedding reception) What am I missing ?????

Then you must be the rare breed that can walk/stand all day and dance all night in high shoes and not want to pull them off! :rotfl:

Sometimes my feet hurt after a while if I slip my shoes off I wouldnt want to put them on again if you paid me!

Flip flops are so the ladies with sore feet can still get up and dance and have fun without walking round on the floor bare foot :D

most women would be greatful if they've spent the last 6 hours in heels to be able to take them off and change them for flats for the last couple of hours of the reception or to go home in.

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

Oooh good idea about the emery boards! I'm making Out of Town bags for my guests and I've thought of most of the things you listed in the first post but I didn't think of emery boards! *Added to list*! :D

Hmm i like the flip flop idea but i dont get why you'd need so many, surely only 10 or so ladies are going to want to take their shoes off, why do u need 70?!
And if i was going to a wedding and i knew i hated wearing heels all evening id take my own flat shoes!

I think ill do the toilet box. Anyone seen any nice baskets to put everything in?

Definitely no painkillers though if you're having children, you could have some very angry parents and very ill children on your hands!
What matters most is how well you walk through the fire

Well we're having a Caribbean theme reception when we get back from our weddingmoon so it's partly for the aching feet and partly to get guests into a holiday mood for the party! And if they're there for people to use, I reckon plenty people would take advantage of the offer because I know a lot of women who'd just put up with sore feet because there's no alternative, give them the alternative and they can enjoy themselves a bit more! I'd rather over supply than under supply! :)

I'm thinking of doing this but as weenireeni said a sign might be good - does anyone have a good wording for this?
