Worked for me this morning, 12 mains, 6 btles 9.99 wine (although had to look for these in the wine aisle as none left in the deal fridge) and 6 deserts for 39.01. Fab thank you, freezer now packed but couldn't believe it actually worked.

I mean desserts, i didn't manage to buy the Sahara, Kalahari, Gobi or any other hot sandy places in tesco....

Is their any budging with Tesco's CS after excepting an order?

They have subbed the £9.99 wine for a different £9.99 wine thus putting my order up big time and my friend follishly signed(i was not in). They also subbed the steak pie with another 'non' meal deal steak pie which again effeced the discount.

...oh what to do? I did put in notes and requests to sub for a meal deal item only.

Thanks again OP - just had mine delivered :j
Unfortunately they'd substituted 3 bottles of wine for bottles not in the deal - which meant total came to £79.97 instead of £53.38... but I phoned Customer Services while the delivery guy was unpacking and no probs with refunding the extra £26.59!!!! I was worried this would highlight the glitch but it wasn't an issue

Really? I'm going to email them asking them for a refund of the extra amount!

I put in my notes to only sub with meal deal items but they didn't. I was promised they would pick it all up today and refund me but after three calls to cust services and speaking to the store manager who assured me it would be picked up it's still in my fridge :( The driver dropped my order off on his way home so I couldn't return it with him which is why they agreed to collect it, I'm not sure if they would if it's been signed for? Worth a phone call to complain though but they are shut now.

I had the same problem with non meal deal subs on my delivered order yesterday.

But a call to customer services and they refunded me the £20.55 that should have been on the order. Simply had to explain the items substituted and the refund was done over the phone, with an email later to confirm, and of course I kept all the items. Very happy with the service.

So you got a refund for the combined prices of the substituted items or was £20.55 the difference between what you were charged and how much it would have been for the meal deals?

    I got a £30 refund (including £5.50 delivery) on a £44 order.

I only had two mains missing.

I only asked for a £9 refund. God only knows how the woman worked it out. She spent 5 minutes calculating it. I just kept very quiet. :rotfl:

They charged the meal deal price for the substituted items, so £10.25 refund for each of the two substitutions that weren't meal deal items.
