its not a new thing - the leaflets are going out in bank statements
they are trying to get rid of queues and branches are getting machines that you can pay cash in straight away and well as withdraw
the counter will not be able to do transactions because the facility will get removed
I personally think they will have to change it0 -
If the facility is being removed from the counter then it's not just people with Electron that's affected, surely it's all customers?0
-
no - current account customers and savings customers can use counter
easy cash and cardcash have to use the other methods0 -
OK, it will be goodbye to BoS in that case
I only have a Cardcash account because I have no choice, as I'm under 18.
I've not been informed of these changes though.0 -
oh under 18's will be ok as they can't have current accounts anyway
at 18, for yourself, not the bank you would be better off getting a current account - at whatever bank0 -
You could always get a full Visa Debit card from LloydsTSB, either way
They give them out to under 18s instead of Electron cards at 16+
The only difference is they dont have a cheque guarantee function, but no great loss there - i've noticed loads of signs in shops recently (e.g. BP, Next) saying that they dont take cheques anymore.
