I don't have children but I do think people have the right to them.

Why should the government pay for people to have children? It is the government who makes children so expensive in the first place. I don't think a child should be denied any life at all just because they wouldn't have the 'perfect' life that the lawyers and doctors and politicians and human rights people want for children. I don't think a child should be denied the opportunity to live just because the government interferes with child protection laws, social workers, schooling - all the things a 'civilised' society insists on and then begrudges paying for. If people want an end to state intervention then leave families to bring up children in their own way - they've managed it for thousands of years. Nowadays people seem to have such a precious attitude to children that they rather they were never born at all than maybe do a paper round at 8 years old thereby contributing to family finances and helping the family support itself.
