You're covered for the full amount (paypal) or not at all (cash or equivalent).
Interesting myth though, not sure I've heard that one before. This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.0 -
Go buy one from a shop scotty. Then you can pick it up to your heart's content. You seem to forget, the seller owns the item. You don't like his terms, don't buy.
Cheek of some buyers too ey?0 -
I had to return an item to hongkong recently where they only refunded the cost of the item, plus i had to pay to send the begger back(item)
Maybe its only if you do it though paypal you re coup all costs? I know most sellers put
'refunds; not including postage'
so, errr yup0 -

They'll put all sorts of nonsense in their terms and conditions.
You'll have to pay your own postage to get it back to them, but anything you paid out you get back if you do it officially. (Good sellers won't let it get that far though.)

If you paid by Paypal, you get your full initial payment back, which includes the outward postage. You do not get back the returns postage unless the seller agrees to give it. Business sellers are obliged to quote their returns policy on each listing, including the returns postage policy. Failure to do this may result in you be able to reclaim the returns postage directly from Ebay.0 -
One of my first buys on ebay many moons ago, was a job lot of catalogue returns. I was charged if I remember rightly something like £100 p&p. It was trash, total trash. Got the money back for the stock around £300 but at that time you didn't get back the initial p&p & obviously had to pay the return postage. That hurt, so I'm glad that sellers for SNAD do get their postage back, hopefully it's weeded out a few chancers.0
