Has anyone applied for a credit increase for their Barclaycard after a few months? I've had mine since april, but want an increase from £1600 to £2000.

It wont hurt to call them and ask.
May want to check the T&C's of your account however to see if it does give a basic time limit on increases.Save a life. Learn emergency first aid.

When the account was opened I told them I wasnt happy with the limit and that I felt I deserved higher, but the person on the phone just used diversionary tactics to fob me off.0

The Boss,
Barclaycard havent raised my limit from GOLD VISA £2450 for over a year though i have spent 17K on the card, (Yes i know i missed out on cashback but my credit history only allows me to apply for Equifax card)
SO instead a applied for there mastercard.
Received its with a £1200 limit, WHICH I can transfer to my gold VISA.
(I am going to wait for a limit increase on my mastercard before i transfer the limit and then close the account.)0 -
HSBC increased my limit after only 3 months - I started with £250 and ended up with £1500. Mine's a student CC, though... might be why they allowed it so soon?
Like others have said, it's worth calling up to see whether it's possible...0 -
I was going to do it all online just in case I get asked about my work situation (just started a new job) and get rejected because of that. If I request an increase to say £2.5k, maybe they might refuse that but give me a £2k limit. Though judging by the cuts to people's credit limits on other accounts, I might not bother.0

I opened HSBC CC with £250 last may, now it is £2250. It is always worth calling for a limit increase...they even reduced my interest as well.01. Marriott Rewards VISA (£2700 @ 17.9%)
