Why does it matter so much to you? Do you have nothing better to do than basically accuse people of lying? That's exactly what you're doing with me.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Probably not exactly lying but I do think you exaggerate every little problem you have into something huge. And your problems are worse than anyone else's etc.
The country doesn't owe you a living for the rest of your life based on some minor physical and mental issues.
This attitude is what the government are determined to sort out.0 -

I'm a wife so have always done the cooking, washing up, washing and ironing etc. Gosh I have been a carer for decades and just didn't realise it.
We went shopping and for lunch out together on Friday so another 5 hours there. I seem to be putting in more hours than when I worked full time.
I used to be able to do everything for myself as I was a very independent person. However for nearly 2 years now my partner does those things for me. He is my carer because of this. Yes he loves me but that doesn't take away from the fact that he has to do it. He has to push me in the wheelchair because even though I can propell myself along sometimes I don't have the energy to do so all the time. If I'm on my crutches instead he may have to carry me home if I can't manage.
Just a question. Why do you constantly devalue what carers do? The fact that you said the following - "Doubt any 'carer' actually gives the caree a full 5 hours a day, unless you count time spent watching TV together etc" - says it all really. I really don't like the way you put across the word carer sarcastically or could be said unbelieving way as if they don't actually care for the person they are a carer for. Why don't you see that things normal people take for granted have to be done by a carer?I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy0 -

Exactly. A few years ago, I went out for a few hours with friends of mine. By the end of the evening, (it was just a gig; so no constantly walking around or whatever) I could hardly move because I was in so much pain.Sealed pot challenge #232. But I'm not a 'carer'. I am a wife.
I do not claim any sort of carer's allowance.0
