    But I'm not a 'carer'. I am a wife.

I do not claim any sort of carer's allowance.
excuse me,how many times have you "quoted" that your his carer, think you need to read back.
plenty of people are carers without claiming carer's allowance.

Probably not exactly lying but I do think you exaggerate every little problem you have into something huge. And your problems are worse than anyone else's etc.

The country doesn't owe you a living for the rest of your life based on some minor physical and mental issues.

This attitude is what the government are determined to sort out.

Right, so being partially sighted (slowly going blind in right eye) is minor is it? Not being able to wipe your own backside is minor? Self harm is minor, is it?

if only they were minor have you had mental health issues, have you barly been physical able to get out of because your in so much pain ,

I still suffer the panic attacks and flashbacks from post traumatic stress disorder 9 years ago. Yes I was depressed, not just a bit down. Didn't leave the house for weeks, cried non stop, needed counselling and antidepressants.

Had to retire early because of it as lost all self confidence.

Still need propanalol and always carry paper bags for the panic attacks.

So yes I have had and still do have mental health issues.

If you really do have mental health issues, I would expect you to be sympathetic towards those of us who do have mental health problems.
