It doesn't. It's there (for myself, personally) when I'm too depressed to cook or whatever.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

yes but they should stop hunding the ones they know are ok.:o not give us crap every time someone wants to bash us.
And who exactly are those and how are they supposed to know? People defrauding the system or claiming unnecessarily don't walk around with a placard declaring the fact!0 -

also does this include children, im not sure my son would be happy with a medical but im sure would flash his feeding tube if made to.
Surely any child (or any adult for that matter) with a medical condition/disability must be used to doctors asking questions about their condition?0 -
jennie jack, thats my point exactly a DLA payment will not help those who say they cant get out of bed due to depression..this is an illness and not a disability and so they should not even contemplate applying for it..thats why there is a problem, too manypeople claim to have a disability when in fact they are just unwell...e.g how can the previous couple of people on this form moan about medicals because they are depressed or the former person on here saying they get HRC while holding down a job, yet ex soldiers who have lost limbs may really justify their claim0

as for SH1305..too depressed to cook how can you say thats a disability, i know people who feel like that after a good nights drink or a bad day at work..you have a cheek receiving dla and should hand it back0

What an ignorant !!!! you are. feeling depressed and feeling a bit down are too different things.
People with MH problems are just entitled to DLA as those of us with physical problems.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

sh1305 i am saying that the system has to apply te rules accordingly, a disability and an illness and what a disability covers needs to be looked at otherwise people with hayfever will say they need to claim because constant sneezing and runny eyes affects their balance and sight...its all taking it too far0
-
Hayfever is generally seasonal; depression isn't. And why shouldn't I claim for my depression? I have care and mobility needs as a result.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

actually depression is an illness as is dis-ables the way I live my life.. when I feel suicidal and can't be left alone, when I don't eat for days, etc, so people with depression do have care needs and so are entilted as anyone else to DLA:j £2 coins = £2.00 :j0
