And once again.......I think you'll find DLA has nothing to do with staying at home. It is not an out of work benefit like IB or ESA, many people who claim DLA work and the payments help them to do that.
The other poster said "They should pick on the Lazy !!!!!!'s who dont want to work".

My point was that that is what they are trying to do by introducing medicals.....because it has become rather well known that if you claim DLA you will be quids in (as a workshy healthy person) and wont have to sign on etc.
There are lots of people claiming DLA when they shouldnt. THEY are the "Lazy !!!!'s" the other poster was referring to and it is those people the government is trying to catch out.

But it still an extra cost incurred by a disability. Care is given for help with bodily functions.
Oh, so when someone disabled visits my property and breaks something beloning to me, I can claim a replacement?
Or is it only the people who claim the money who can claim a replacement?
ok...so my disabled child breaks my £500 vase....DLA is to pay for that is it?

Do you have a disabled persons railcard? Your partner would also get the 1/3 discount too. I was advised that booking 6 weks in advance cuts down the cost. It also depends on what time you go.
No I don't have a disabled rail card. I got told by my local council that you can have a disabled bus pass or a disabled rail card. Around here the bus pass saves you more money (buses are expencive but as we live right next to a bus stop that goes into town it will be worth it) so I went for the buss pass (which I should get soon). Even if we did get 1/3 off the train tickets we would still be spending at least £12 (non-peak) for trains for the both of us each time - which is a lot if you are going weekly which I will have to do again soon  (that's going to cost over £100 in train tickets even with discount that would be a lot of money as you can see).

Was I told the right information or can you have both the bus pass and the rail card if you are disabled? I am on HRM and MRC.

DLA has nothing to do with work.

What cure are you referring to? Noone has mentioned a "cure"?

DLA is paid to the disabled person (or their carer) directly.

Well, you do claim they grow out of it. Last time I checked, you don't "grow out" of being non-verbal.

The link I posted has nothing to do with the bus pass given to you by your local council. I have both.

DLA has nothing to do with work.
    I know that.
Example of what I refer to.
A man is on the dole and doesnt want to work because hes lazy claims the dole. He has to sign on every other week and he payment is small.
But over the next few weeks he finds a nice little money site that has loads of threads on it about what illnesses people have and how much money they claim etc.
So he thinks to himself, "Im having some of that....look at how much more I could be getting"
    He then feigns illness.
Hence, he is workshy and claiming DLA!
