Why on earth wouldn't you be prepared to show your legs at a medical?

    Because they're hairy?

and my god dont get me started on bra's stupid things to have to wear.

You can buy bras (why I threw mine away, I don't know) that you just put over your head - no different to putting on a vest.

i have worked in nursing homes where there were just 3 staff for 20 patients. So 6+ patients each over our shift. So just over an hour each. So only maximum 4 hours in 24 of individual care for someone actually in a nursing home. And these patients are often much worse than someone that can be managed at home.

What worries me is that you could have the well being of other people in your hands. Such a harridan as a nurse?

What pleases me is that you are retired.

I have never seen one of your posts that is anything other than critical of other benefit recipients, they are snide nasty and downright rude.

I pity your poor husband having to live with someone as cold hearted and selfish as you.

You dont like the fact that people are ENTITLED to benefits, yet you applied for AA and admitted on this forum that you didnt need it and only claimed it because of ENTITLEMENT.

So if you are so holier than thou, cancel the claim, save the money for people who DO need it then maybe you can lecture others

Ah but you see if my husband cancels his claim will the money saved actually go to someone who needs it more than him? Unless I am mistaken it is awarded on care need not financial need. Now if you were to suggest it be means tested I would possibly agree with you.

A harridan as a nurse was I? May I suggest my patients preferred me to look after them knowing they were being cared for by a professional who would always make sure they received the correct medication, actually knew how to use all the equipment and could interpret the results. Were never left in a soiled bed, I insisted the cleaners did a thorough job. Patients were actually fed and I knew my job inside out. The handholding stuff I would leave to the families. You all want the matrons back. That's what I was.

I still receive Christmas cards from patients whose lives I helped to save. How many people have you successfully resuscitated when they have had a cardiac arrest?

Anyway sticks and stones etc. Like water off a ducks back

Use your DLA to go to a salon and have it done then.Like the rest of us do.Except we have to use our 'own money'.
the difference shows here,YOU are not DISABLED so can just go to a salon.
for a lot of disabled people this is not an option, try putting yourself in the shoes of someone who is disabled.
i came into the world with nothing, and guess what? i still have it!!!:p

if you're 38jj, I would have expected to be blessing the bra not cursing it. I never did understand the bra-burning phase - surely any women much above a C cup, must find life easier with a bra than without it. Maybe the most enthusiastic bra burners were all AAs :D

Matter of interest: I watched a recent "Embarrassing Bodies" program where a woman had something like a JJ cup, and they said that boobs that big were a health hazard (extra strain on the upper back and shoulders, risk of sores amongst other problems) and I think she had breast reduction surgery. I suspect that it was on the NHS since the boob size was causing additional long-term health problems.

I'd diagnosed "ward sister" from your style, but your point is made. I would like to have not only a thoroughly professional nurse in charge of a ward, but also one who had the equipment and support staff (cleaners, kitchen staff etc). Do you think that those in charge of hospital wards today have the sorts of resources you mention? Do you think they can do the sort of job you did under current circumstances?

For example, I believe that many hospital now rely very much more on agency nurses, who are more expensive by the hour, but only have to be paid when you really need them, and don't come with needs for an NHS pension, holiday entitlements etc. I know that these nurses may be properly trained, but won't be familiar with the patients on that particular ward.

Please stop this garbage now, or clog up the anals of MSE with useless polarised crap. "Never the twain shall meet" is a phrase that springs to mind, and that's a fact.

Stop freakin arguing and get on with your lives. People will worry about these medical, and that's a fact. The fraudulent cases because they may be caught out, the genuine one's because they may be overlooked.

What happens will happen, in the meantime people will worry regardless of what any keyboard warrior says :mad::mad::mad:
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
