Surprisingly little pain.
I wouldn't say I'm loving the budget, so much as I am ok with it.
I disn't get the tax credit thing (I missed it as I stepped out of the room, bt from Gen's coverge it seems this is being raised? If so I think thats barmy).
But other wise...so far a very tentative feeling relief from me0 -
Triple lock for pensions, up with earnings, inflation or
whichever is greater“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Priority:
Fairness - all contribute. Richest pay more as a proportion of income as well as in £ terms. Coalition to be different [blah]. Claimed 'progressive' for the Tories.
Final decisions:
-Earnings link to be restored after being broken by Thatcher but never restored by Labour. Will be reintroduced. State pension up by 2.5% or eanrings, whichever is greater.
- Additional help for the poor. CTC to rise by £115 more than inflation. No rise in child poverty over the next 2 years.
It is a progressive budget apparently!0 -
So who is actually losing out then?0

He commends the budget to the House (thank goodness).

Depends what pensioners, some with a private/company RPI linked pension and a few quid in the stock market will be quids in.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
That was fun (for me). Hope the rest of you enjoyed it.0

I think we all share the pain..some to a slightly lesser degree but we are all impacted in some way.
Only fair though.
I still can't get over the fuel, tobacco and alcohol! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
