    does the new 02 off peak contract allow calls to 0844 nos from included mins?

    Inclusive minutes apply to calls made in the UK to standard rate UK fixed lines, UK network mobiles (excluding from July 1, 2006, 07744 and 07755 numbers which will be charged at 25p per minute) and voicemail 901. On Online 200, 400 and 500 tariffs, voicemail access and retieval is free and not decremented as part of your inclusive minutes.

    Inclusive call minutes can be used to call some non-geographical and special services numbers with the following prefixes: 0800, 0808, 0844, 0845 and 0870. Once the inclusive minute allowance has been used up, calls to these numbers will be charged as calls to standard UK landlines at the prevailing tariff. Some exceptions may apply and calls to some numbers may be free of charge.

    Just in the process of going to O2, since the future with the current network looks neither bright (nor orange) - so I thought loose my (still) free 0800 minutes in favour of all incl. 0800, 0808, 0844, 0845 and 0870.

    Only worried about O2 changing their minds in a few months, specially when I am on a 18 months contract. Anyone has any clues as to what the scenario might be if O2 is going to change their terms..?!

    Thanks

    ok, thanks - however, if they were to change their policy and lets say, make this calls non-inclusive (not coming out of free minutes), what do you think I can do with a 18 month contract if, lets say, I had another 14 months to go...?! Any 'getout' clause?!?!

    just had another look (from their Pay monthly airtime contract http://www.o2.co.uk/termsconditions/yourairtimecontract )

    8.2 This Agreement may be ended either by you or us giving at least 30 days' notice. You must pay all Charges incurred during the Agreement.
    8.3 If this Agreement is ended during the Minimum Period, you must pay the monthly subscription charges up to the end of the Minimum Period. This does not apply if you end the Agreement for the reasons in paragraph 8.4.
    8.4 You may end this Agreement by giving us written notice if:
    we break this Agreement in any way and we do not correct the situation within 7 days of your request;
    we go into liquidation or a Receiver is appointed over our assets; or
    we increase Charges for your Inclusive Calls or your monthly line rental charge or change this Agreement to your significant disadvantage, provided you give us a minimum of 30 days written notice (and provided you notify us within one month of our telling you about the changes). This does not apply where the increase or change relates solely to Additional Services in which case you may cancel, or stop using, that Additional Service.
    In the situations described in 8.4 above paragraph 8.3 will not apply.

    Guess this should cover my !!!!
